Kristen Bell Reveals Her Neurosis

wenn2473752bell.jpg

Does Kristin Bell have a weird aversion to foreign foods????

While filming Couples Retreat in Bora Bora with Jason Bateman and Vince Vaughn, the former Veronica Mars star loaded her luggage with westernized snacks!

How boring!

Kristen explains: "I was concerned about the food in Bora Bora, and so I packed a lot… I like knowing what I'm eating. I don't like mystery dishes."

Bell stuffed her suitcases to the brim with Power Bars, Luna Bars and butterscotch pudding, which she stored in a mini-fridge in her trailer, and was welcome to share with the entire cast and crew.

And Co-star Jason Bateman was more than happy to accept!

"She was like the [grocery store]," says Bateman. "We all would go by and ask her for little treats and stuff. She was a big hit."

Well, that's kinda cute.

A little neurotic on Bell's part, but still cute!

i would do the same, i like to know what im eating too

  2. 2

    She's awesome.

  3. 3

That's sweet. People who like to share are always okay in my book. Whatever their neuroses…we all have them.

LOS ANGELES — In a surprising move arranged by prosecutors in Los Angeles and Washington, the authorities in Switzerland arrested the film director Roman Polanski late Saturday as he arrived at the Zurich airport, paving the way for his possible extradition to the United States in connection with a 32-year-old sex case.

  5. 5

Weird!!! maybe she's just trying to be Like Megan Fox…Neurotic indeed!

  6. 6

    I miss Veronica Mars!!!!!!!

  7. 7

    How is that neurotic?

  8. 8

    She is from Michigan.
People in Michigan have no culture.
They think going to Mexico is a real foreign trip and their idea of gourmet food is dinner at Applebees, Chillis or Hooters.
Every once in a while they will indulge in a foreign "high class" beer like Sam Adams or Oberon.
I know because I lived in Michigan before.
The land of the pick up trucks.

Kristen Bell is not only adorable, she's got great comic timing, she's smart, and she doesn't seem like the blond Hollywood bitch. I will see everything she's in!

  10. 10

i think it's kind of ironic she says she packed luna bars, powerbars, etc. because she likes knowing what she's eating. those bars are filled with lots of unhealthy chemicals and artificial flavorings.

come on, try some new food!

  11. 11

I gotta see this movie. I SO luv her.

  12. 12

Boring and neurotic is right. Part of the experience of traveling, even if it's for work is trying new things and local food.

    13

    aww, that's so sweet

  14. 14

    What's wrong with that lol.

  15. 15

That has to be ridiculously offensive to the people of Bora Bora, especially considering the fact that the island's economy is driven by tourism.

I never really cared about Kristin Bell much, but had nothing against her, but this DEFINITELY lowers my opinion of her, how close-minded!

  16. 16

    closeminded and neurotic? seriously?;p
The girl is a vegeterian who likes to know what she's eating, it's normal behavior;p
There's nothing neurotic about making sure you have something you like to eat with you on a holiday in case you don't like the stuff there;p
I'm sure she tasted it too;p

  17. 17

    cute lol

  18. 18

Hey Kristy, you eat dark meat don't ya? BBD has your dinner right here!

  19. 19

I do that!! I'm such a picky eater when I went to Mexico I brought a 12 pack of Diet Dr. Pepper, a case of water, and a bunch of snacks. Thank God, because after one meal at the resort, I realized I would've starved to death.

  20. 20

Obviously, you don't travel overseas much, especially to developing nations. Ever see meat handing by hooks at the markets being 'attacked' by flies? Maybe you like eating shit food, but most of us don't.

  21. 21

    Who-Cares-About-This-Boring-Bitch!
She must kiss your ass alot.

  22. 22

Tempting. She was truely a temptation.
As far as carrying food with on the road, I've inspired a many a — for lack of a better word — roadie to bring a suitcase full of food out on the road. Going from town to town, the treasure chest comes in handy.

    23

I can't say I blame her for wanting to know what she's eating. That was nice she shared with her co-workers.

  24. 24

not that weird, but i like trying new dishes, all kinds of foods

  25. 25

Celebrities are idiots who deserve all the ridicule they get, and more. And trust me, none of them give a fuck about you ha ha.

  26. 26

That's not neurotic, that's called closed-minded! How very American of her. My bf didn't eat anything he didn't know either when we first met. But then I forced him to try stuff and now he's thankful for it lol Try something, Kristen, you may just like it!

  27. 27

Well she is a very well known VEGETARIAN so I guess thats why shes concerned about her dishes when traveling, no big mystery here.

  28. 28

Re: Duder Pooder – this happens a lot in the US. Do you have any idea what goes on in farms, restaurants, private kitchens, etc?

  29. 29

hey kristin indiana jones and the temple of doom is just a movie. no chilled monkey brains for you

  30. 30

This bitch sucks, no one cares.

  31. 31

I wouldn't mind eating her for a couple hours.

  32. 32

    WAY TO SHARE!!!!!!
    DAMN KRISTEN BELL!!!

  33. 33

    This statement, "She was like the [grocery store]," says Bateman. "We all would go by and ask her for little treats and stuff. She was a big hit." tells me that she wasn't alone in her fear of the local cuisine. {I want to insult Jason here, but I've not actually tasted any of his oh-so-famous BBQ.}

  34. 34

Ha- like the girl eats butterscotch pudding. She's bone thin.

  35. 35

    whitebread and mayonnaise

  36. 36

Sounds more like an eating disorder thing than a straight neuroses. Anorexics like knowing exactly what they're eating and how many calories, and hate the routine changes of going somewhere else.

  37. 37

Weirdo! Bora Bora is in the French Polynesia - lots of amazing French food and delicious fish and fruit. We went there on our honeymoon, the food is amazing, and it is a large island with stores, restaurants, etc. Never had French food, Kristen? U R weird to even say this. It's not like you are out playing 'Survivor'.

  38. 38

Sharing is caring… very nice of her.
People are entitled to put whatever they want in their bodies, but I think that's dreadfully boring to go to a new country and not try the cuisine.
She robbed herself of some amazing experiences.

  39. 39

I love Kristin Bell but WOW!!! Bora Bora is an amazing place and the food is fantastic (even for vegetarians) this just shows how closed minded some people are. This is insulting to the people and culture of Tahiti very disappointed in her behavior :(

  40. 40

Veronica Mars is awesome, never really did like her until I saw that show. She's cute as a button.

  41. 41

Remember Queen Elizabeth visiting Africa and fed som kind of mammal.

The tabloids said the next day… "THE QUEEN EATS A RAT!!!"

I think she picked at it out of kindness…it was not a rat something like neutria in Louisiana

  42. 42

I have some pudding she can get neurotic about.

  43. 43

i would do the same if i was going to a different place and i didnt know what to expect if either i liked the food or not. she is a smart lady.

  44. 44

I've been to Bora Bora and the food is awful! I thought it's be great as Bora Bora is a French territory but was I wrong! Thank goodness I brought a bunch of Ramen Noodles for my kid! The only good thing was the fruit, which was delicious.
