Twittering About Celebs Could Cost You Your Job!

Jon-Barrett Ingels, a former waiter at Barney Greengrass, used to tweet about his numerous celebrity encounters at the cafe in Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills. But that all came to a screeching halt after Hung actress Jane Adams complained about it!
Probably because she looked like a big dumbass.
Ingels Tweeted that Adams skipped out on her $13.44 bill, saying she forgot her wallet in the car. Her agent paid the bill the next day without a tip causing Ingels’ subsequent tweet:

“Tues: Jane Adams, star of HBO series ‘Hung’ skipped out on a $13.44 check. Her agent called and payed [sic.] the following day. NO TIP!!!”

Cheap!
Adams did return to the restaurant to tip Ingels about a month later, but it was too late. Barney’s Corporate found his Twitter account and encouraged his manager to fire the waiter after 5 years of employment.
Ingels says:

“I understand they want to keep a safe environment for the celebrities and I think that I broke that safety. Had they come to me and said you need to take this down or change it to private, had I been told if you don’t do this, you’re going to lose your job — I would’ve done that.”

Ingels is still looking for a full-time job and Hung has been miraculously renewed for a second season.
Minus one for the little guy!
