The Quaids' Lawyer Quits!

Filed under: Legal Matters > Z List

These two are effed!

Although Randy and Evi Quaid never had a chance to begin with, their criminal lawyer, Dick DeGuerin has quit.

The couple are involved in a criminal case in which they are charged with three felonies each, stemming from unpaid hotel bills at the San Ysidro Ranch.

And on top of that, Evi is being sued for defamation of character by deputy James Davis of Presidio County, Texas.

Lots of luck!

You'll need it!!!

you know it's bad when your own lawyer is like, "dude, i'm out. i can't defend this garbage."
this bitch has ruined his life. she needs to go to jail.
    maybe he does too.

just waiting for her to pull the "addiction" or "adverse reaction to medication" card and head off to "rehab" in 3…2…

I'd quit, too. That woman is unhinged.

Do you think they skipped out on his bill, too?

Pity. The buck stops here. Question is do they even have one?

The deputy's just going after the money. One of the requirements of his job is being defamed by criminals, and he should just get used to it. It's not as if anybody out there is going to believe anything that Evi says.

You know I work in the travel industry and I am confused how these two could even get a room without giving some form of payment…if these are upscale than how come they aren't taking a deposit? I am not defending them…I am just wondering how the hotels have allowed them to stay without having a credit card…My other question is how can they afford a Lawyer at $500 an hour and not pay a hotel bill that is $500 a night…things that make you go hmmm???
