Never fear! He’s okay!
Morrissey was discharged from the hospital on Sunday after collapsing on stage the day before due to difficulty breathing.
A spokeswoman for Great Western Hospital said, “Morrissey became unwell, and he was admitted overnight as a precautionary measure. He’s been seen by the medical team, much improved and now discharged home.”
He fell to the ground while singing his opening song, This Charming Man, at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, Wiltshire and was carried off stage by two band members.
Morrissey opened the show by saying “Good evening ├óΓé¼┬ª probably” and appeared to be struggling to finish his first song and in great discomfort.
A witness said he began “coughing, and a couple of times clutched his shoulder and seemed to wince. Morrissey then dropped to his knees and two roadies rushed on stage,” he added.
“I didn’t think he looked particularly well but then again, he’s well known as a reclusive character so I sort of thought that was just the way he was when he was on stage,” said another fan at the show.
This isn’t the first time he’s had to reschedule a show due to illness!!!
Although most Morrissey fans may find this blasphemous, but is the 50-year old, former Smiths frontman too far past his prime?!
