Guess it is okay to have double standards when it is convenient for them!
Apparently, in the eyes of the church, you can be a filthy, hypocritical whore and still be welcomed into the congregation with open arms! Just as long as you are sleeping with the opposite sex, you get a free pass!
News of Carrie Prejean’s graphic sex tape reached the ears of Pastor Darren Carrington from The Rock Church in San Diego. Instead of condemning her actions, he offered her guidance and forgiveness for her sins. The man of God was quoted saying that “Everyone is a work in progress,” and adding everyone has “something we’re not proud of.”
She has a lot of things not to be proud of and it upsets us that someone like her, with all he faults, receives the kind of understanding that so many other, deceit people do not.
Ah, the world in which we live.
