Say hello to the newest member of our family!!!
We just named him Teddy and he's our little teddy bear.
Actually, he's a mini Goldendoodle and we are madly in love!
We got him on Monday and he's almost eight weeks old.
Teddy is the little brother to our adorable Maltese, Coquito, who is getting older now (he's 12 ).
We had no idea what kind of doggy we wanted, but we knew we wanted to add one to our family and our mom's birthday was the perfect occasion to welcome him to the clan.
How'd we stumble upon a Goldendoodle?
We typed in "small" "cute" and "smart" into Google and they popped up!
Teddy will grow up to be about 20 lbs and even more adorable than he already is.
We got him at Southern Cal Kennels, Grade A mini Goldendoodle breeders.
We are just so in love.
Our little Teddy bear!

FYI…Beware of letting a puppy lick your face. They are almost always carriers of parasites they got while still inside their moms. Usually Roundworms, Giardia, Tapeworms, and rarely Whipworms. There all contagious.

Wow, I don't know if I should be shocked, amazed or just plain disgusted at the almost 1000 comments on this. It just floors me that all of you can sit here and comment until you're blue in the face over the fact that Perez paid for an animal yet you give him props and kudos when he writes venomous, purely hate-filled rants about actual humans. I love my dog to death but she isn't able to get on the Internet, look up this site and have every once of self-worth and pride she has ripped to shreds by reading the hate-speak that Perez writes and many of you support and feed into. Cute dog, but I would never pay thousands for a mixed breed dog (that's what shelters are for….although it's a great place to find purebreds too)…..Those who are saying breeders=killing are so sadly misinformed and overdramatizing a situation. Yes, I agree that adopting a dog is a great thing. However, some people do prefer certain breeds and each breed has its own unique purpose. RESPONSIBLE breeders nurturing small healthy litters are the BEST way and only smart way to get a purebred dog. Surprisingly, purebred pet quality dogs are very reasonably priced. Obviously show quality is more. Pet stores, however, are a disgrace in every way and use puppy farms (which we all know are deplorable) instead of breeders and then charge extra moulah for an unhealthy dog to cover middle man costs. I think so many are confusing puppy farms with responsible breeders. When I am finally
settled enough to get my doggies, I want a shelter dog. However, I will be getting a poodle first, because I love and adore the breed. My choice, my right. Please get off your high horses.

Way to go supporting backyard breeders who charge thousands of dollars for mutts. Yes, goldendoodle = MUTT. Not "designer crossbreed." MUTT. You could have gone to the shelter and gotten the same exact thing not only for less money, but you would have been supporting a humanitarian organization AND been saving a life. And so now they're miniaturizing them, huh? Because Dios knows that everyone and their second cousin in Hollywood has to have a god-damned purse pooch. And by the way, NO "grade A" reputable breeder would have sold you a puppy under eight weeks old. All reputable breeders keep their puppies for AT LEAST 8 weeks, preferably 10 to 12, and even up to 16 weeks in smaller breeds, for maximum socialization with their mother and littermates.

ENOUGH ON THE DOG BEING A MUTT! Fact stated, many dogs are genetically bred from other types of dogs. Prime example is the doberman. And dobermans are NOT mean dogs, they are actually very loving, obedient and wonderful.
All breeders can not be judges the same. And it is someone's right to buy from a shelter or a breeder.
WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP MAKING BABIES WHEN THEY CAN JUST ADOPT? Answer that question. It would prevent more people from being on welfare, lower taxes, etc.

What you need is a miniature Australian Shepherd, or a teacup Aussie! Mine is only 25 lbs and a genius! Me and the roomies used to always smoke a cig together, and Elly learned to associate "Wanna smoke a cigarrette?" with going outside. She has gotten to the point that when you pull one out of the box she runs to the back door. Plus she is beautiful!

We have a 2 year old goldendoodle, he is as adorable, very smart and loves people. I have 4 boys and they think he is definitely a chick magnet, everyone stops to greet him or take his photo. He was suppose to be 30lbs but is now a healthy 55lbs, very tough and solid. Never any shedding, was trained in about a week and was the smartest puppy in puppy school. He is part golden, part miniture poodle and he came from a breeder in Oklahoma. Have fun they are wonderful pets

To the people saying it can't exist in mini: the difference is that it is bred with a miniature poodle. It is still not entirely predictable as to how big it will get, but likely not as large as one bred with a standard poodle. Unless this was bred from two goldendoodles, in which case there is no precedent as to what will happen. Do you even know who the parents are?
I guess the countdown starts until he ends up with hip dysplasia and cataracts and gets dumped.
Basically, I am not going to go around yelling at people for their choices or throwing paint on them. However, I am going to write emails to your advertisers and refuse to buy their products as long as they advertise on your site. Sure, they don't care what I say. If enough people on this site do the same they might take notice, they might not. Seriously ppl, get off the "puppy mill" you should have adopted a rescue dog BS! I have volunteered for the SPCA for a long time… some ppl are not ment for rescue dogs and some are. I have one of each at home. Both are wonderful dogs, a rescue mutt and a spunky Boston Terrier. ;o) It is very difficult to find pure breeds or exotic hybrids at a shelter, if that is what you are looking for. That is why ppl will go to a breeder. I think it is pretty harsh to call any animal lover an "asshole"… PS to all the shelter promoters out there… don't endorse ones that euthanize animals! There are many shelters that are "no kill" shelters. I wonder how many out of 1018 posters have volunteered at or adopted a rescue animal? Just a thought.
Ok the ignorance on this site is getting overwhelming.
First off. Just because a person breeds hybrids does NOT mean that they are backyard breeders/puppy mills. A GOOD hybrid breeder tests for all the major genetic conditions of *both* breeds, they have contracts that state the dog must be returned to them if you ever need to give it up, offer gentic defect warranties for 2 years from date of purchase (hips can only be tested properly at 2 years old). And for those saying that the pups will be less healthy than their parent breeds - have you ever done ANY research on puppies? Look up this phrase "Hybrid vigor" and it might change your mind.
I have an 8 month old medium standard labradoodle puppy. With him I recieved copies of both parents hip & eye scores, 6 generation lineage that shows that there are no instances of the inbreeding that you all seem to be accusing our breeders of, a 2 year from date of purchase warranty, and support from the breeder for the life of my dog - all for approx $1500. Pretty good deal if you ask me!

The last dog I adopted from a rescue organization was a purebred black and tan coonhound. She cost me $250 in adoption fees and within a week she cost me another $3000. The rescue organization told me she had just been to the vet and given a clean bill of health. However, when I dropped her off to be spayed 2 days later it was determined not only did she have severe heartworm, but she was pregnant and days from delivering 7 puppies. She didn't make it through surgery.
Todays "rescues" are anything but. They're out to make money just like the breeders. You all keep saying "Go to Petfinder.com!" but petfinder is no better - do you realize many of the private rescues are asking $300+ for a rescue with NO history? One I encountered was asking $450 per dog!
My dog doesn't shed, he doesn't aggrivate my child's allergies, was easily trained, completely non-agressive, and was just accepted into service dog training.

KK- you're an idiot. Just because you had one bad experience doesn't mean you should not support animal rescue. First of all, a rescue group charging that much for a dog most likely isn't a reputable rescue group. If they are reputable, they aren't in it for the money. that is why it is a NON PROFIT organization. Reputable rescues should be charging reasonable adoption fees to get the animals into good homes. If you are stupid enough to pay that kind of money to a rescue group (without checking them out) then that is your fault. And did you adopt from a rescue group, or a shelter? We all rely on the advice of the vets when our animals are examined, so if the dog was pregnant possibly the vet is the one that made the mistake, not the rescue group. There is no good reason for any rescue organization to adopt out a heartworm positive dog who is pregnant. That defeats the purpose of the spay and neuter program. This sounds like an animal shelter dog. Please don't confuse the two. It just gives rescue a bad name, and its the animals who suffer in the end.
