Say hello to the newest member of our family!!!
We just named him Teddy and he's our little teddy bear.
Actually, he's a mini Goldendoodle and we are madly in love!
We got him on Monday and he's almost eight weeks old.
Teddy is the little brother to our adorable Maltese, Coquito, who is getting older now (he's 12 ).
We had no idea what kind of doggy we wanted, but we knew we wanted to add one to our family and our mom's birthday was the perfect occasion to welcome him to the clan.
How'd we stumble upon a Goldendoodle?
We typed in "small" "cute" and "smart" into Google and they popped up!
Teddy will grow up to be about 20 lbs and even more adorable than he already is.
We got him at Southern Cal Kennels, Grade A mini Goldendoodle breeders.
We are just so in love.
Our little Teddy bear!

You are crazy, a mini golden doodle is nothing but a crossbreed (mongrel) and you have no idea how it will turn out until it grows. You bought your dog from a breeder who deliberately breeds mongrels because they are fashinable and "cute". If you wanted a mongrel you should have gone to the pound.
If you want to know what you are getting you should have got a pure-bred. At least you will know what temperament you get if you buy a purebred.

I have a Goldendoodle too Perez! Only.. my puppy is all black because his mom was pitch black but has dad was pure bread golden retriever. My puppy looked JUST like yours does when we brought him home.. careful though.. if it gets big like mine did be sure to train the crap out of it and show it whos boss lol.. and it will need LOTS of exercise.. it's adorable perez!

Perez, I am terribly disappointed in you. I will no longer read your site. I thought you were not so ignorant, uneducated and heartless as to purchase a dog from a breeder. Millions of sweet, innocent dogs are put to death each year, because people like YOU purchase dogs from breeders. You don't isn't a goldendoodle. It's a mutt - a mutt just like the ones found in shelters and rescues across this country. Shame on you for being heartless and uncaring. I hope it feels good knowing a shelter dog will die because of your purchase.

I have no problems with you buying a dog, yes there are dogs in shelters, you can always get one the next time, but why encourage stupid breeding and these new breeds that aren't a real breed. It's a golden retriever crossed with a poodle, it's a mix (same as shelter dogs). You can breed 2 goldendoodles and you will have no idea what is going to come out, and they are not hypoallergenic like the breeders like to claim. So you're basically paying a stupid amount of money for a mixed breed dog and that encourages back yard breeding. They're cute yes, but not worth the money they ask for considering it's a mixed dog like all the shelter dogs.

You people need to stop drinking PETA's kool aide. I have purebreds, and I guarantee you that if I couldn't get one of them, I WOULD NOT get a shelter dog. No thank you, I want to know what I am getting, by buying from a responsible breeder who shows thier dogs at AKC shows. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with shelter dogs, I just don't want one and you need to read your facts before buying into PETA's BS. THEY kill dogs - A LOT.

OMG lighten up people! So Prez bought a puppy from a breeder, get over it. I tried to find a small dog at the shelter, you know what 99.9% of the dogs are? Either pitbulls, rotwillers or a lab mixed with something else. If people were responsible with thier animals and had them spayed and neutered then we would have so many unwanted animals in the shelters.

Leave Perez alone. He obviously loves his new puppy, and will take great care of it. Who cares where he got it?! Why don't YOU go adopt some animals if you feel that bad!? Almost everybody I know that has a dog bought it from a breeder or a family whose dog just had puppies. My family got our dog from a family that was selling the puppies and we love him dearly, and hardly consider ourselves selfish.

Aw, would have been PERFECT if only you could have adopted him from a shelter. There are so many cute pups like yours that are lost and abandoned in shelters and pounds nationwide…people just never take the time to look for them, and then their time is up. Next time, please consider adopting =]

shame on you for buying a dog from a breeder. You should have gotten a dog from a rescue group. There are thousands of dogs put to sleep every year because there are tooooooooooooo many dogs out there. No one can adopt them all but at least people can do what is best and rescue.

Goldendoodles and Labradoodles and Peekapoos and Cockapoos and all other doodles and poos are mutts. They are bred by people looking to make money from unsuspecting buyers. They have more health problems not fewer and they are NOT hypoallergenic. Your puppy is adorable but you just paid a ton of money for a mutt that will most likely have health issues when you could have adopted from a shelter or purchase a purebred from a reputable breeder. :0(
