Say hello to the newest member of our family!!!
We just named him Teddy and he's our little teddy bear.
Actually, he's a mini Goldendoodle and we are madly in love!
We got him on Monday and he's almost eight weeks old.
Teddy is the little brother to our adorable Maltese, Coquito, who is getting older now (he's 12 ).
We had no idea what kind of doggy we wanted, but we knew we wanted to add one to our family and our mom's birthday was the perfect occasion to welcome him to the clan.
How'd we stumble upon a Goldendoodle?
We typed in "small" "cute" and "smart" into Google and they popped up!
Teddy will grow up to be about 20 lbs and even more adorable than he already is.
We got him at Southern Cal Kennels, Grade A mini Goldendoodle breeders.
We are just so in love.
Our little Teddy bear!

My sister has a Goldendoodle but the big one. She's now 1 yr old and weighs about 80lbs. She doesn't shed, is real smart and alot of fun. Good luck with your new baby. I just adopted an Irish Setter from rescue on Sunday. She's the sweetest thing..

We got her from a breeder and I would buy another one in a heart beat.
I have rescued several dogs over the years from shelter, but one of my kids is allergic…and the Doodles are allergen free!

Do you know the conditions puppy mills and breeders subject their dogs to to churn out puppies? Goldendoodles are so sweet and adorable! Just remember how athletic they are, they need lots of time to run outside.

I'm dissapointed! I love your site but you just supported a backyard "breeder" and fell for the "disigner breed" when all you really got is a mixed breed. The mom and dad of that dog are living in unhealthy envrionments and are used just to breed and make money off of people like you. So many of these dogs are available on Petfinder.com and many other rescue sites!! And I have news…that dog is going to be more then 20 pounds. UNTIL THEY ALL HAVE HOMES, PLEASE RESCUE OR ADOPT!! DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER DOGS DIE!!!

This is pretty sad. Millions of dogs are killed in shelters every year around the US. LA has one of the highest rates of this. Breeders are another example of people farming animals for profit. It is totally unnecessary to support this industry when there are hundreds of thousands of animals in your area that have been abandoned and need a good home.

Congrats, Perez - he's simply amazing - looks like a little toy! I bought my dog from a breeder because I didn't know about rescue. And that is my own damned business just like it is Perez'. And I adopted my second dog. The animal already exists so someone needs to care for it. Plus, breeders are picky about to whom they give their dogs.
Too cute! I have two standard labradoodles who are almost as adorable as Teddy. My concern is that the breeder let him go before 8 weeks, which most reputible breeders would NEVER do. He will probably cry a lot at night and his tummy may be upset, so don't be alarmed if those two things occur. Good luck with sweet Teddy!

Millions of dogs are euthanized every year in the US, and people like you are supporting breeders that only worsen this problem. A "goldendoodle" is a mutt, and you probably could have found one in your local shelter or on petfinder.com, and then given the rest of your $2500 to support a shelter. Please post information so people realize how bad it is to support backyard breeders, the horrible health problems these in-bred mutts can have, how many great dogs can be found in shelters, and why it is so important to both spay/neuter and adopt.
