Carrie Underwood is the darling of the music charts this week!
Underwood’s new album, Play On, has sold 318,000 copies and has claimed the #1 spot on the Billboard album charts this week; the second album of the American Idol alum’s to hit the top spot in the last two years!
Carrie’s #1 album Carnival Ride managed to sell 527,000 in it’s debut week back in 2007.
Play On‘s impressive sales has made Carrie the female artist with the largest amount of sales in a week during 2009!
Quite the accomplishment!
