We think that the best part of all this is that deep down, we don’t think Jay Leno could care less if this show rises or falls. Good thing, because it is falling FAST!
In an effort to save their dignity, the execs at NBC are attempting to reformat Jay’s late night talker to improve it’s ratings. Actually, what they are doing is returning to the original format of The Tonight Show, hoping that will bring back viewers.
For example, staple comedy bits like Jay Walking and Headlines were bumped to the end of the show in an effort to lead in the local news. Since that isn’t doing Jay any good, they are reverting back to having the bits at the beginning of the show, right after the monologue.
Will this save Jay?
