Martha Stewart is claiming that her 2004 conviction due to a stock-trading scandal and subsequent jail time cost her company, Martha Stewart Omnimedia, $1 billion!
And that “pissed” off the daytime queen!
Martha explains:
“The company had nothing to with anything. But yet, because I am the face and the brand…it certainly had a harmful effect.”
Nightline host Cynthia McFadden probed Martha further asking if she ever “kicks herself just a little bit?”
An outraged Martha replied with “How can I kick myself? There are other people to be kicked!”
Meow!
Martha cut off further questions of the prison incident telling McFadden, “Enough! Let’s get on with the future.”
Sounds like the scandal is still quite the sore spot!
