The British have always been a refined and proper people, which is why they might be the only country that consults (or even has) an etiquette authority.
Debrett’s has been advising the Brits how to act properly for almost 100 years, and this year, they are advising gents to be classy this holiday season when kissing under the mistletoe. Due to the outbreak of swine flu, advisers of Debrett’s are suggesting people only kiss each other on the cheek instead of the lips to avoid spreading the disease.
Doesn’t sound like anyone is going to have much of a X-Mas bash in jolly ole England this year?!
We say screw it! What’s the point of having mistletoe if not to inappropriately and drunkenly make out with your co-workers.
Christmas comes but once a year!
