Dog The Bounty Hunter's very own son was the one that sold the racially explosive private phone conversation of the star, which has put him in the middle of a media firestorm and caused A&E to halt production on his reality show.
"I guess because of whatever level of anger he had of his father, he felt the need to express it in that manner," Dog's attorney says, adding that the son sold the tape for "a lot" of money.

you can't tell what the whole conversation is. Is the son the one that was in jail? Anyway, we don't know what is going on with the GF… For some reason Dog doesn't like her, there may be a lot more to this..After all the son needed money enough to sell out his father. It may have been a racial slur, but it was said in private, not in the middle of a room.

A couple of comments:
A & E must have already known that Dog had a pension for speaking like this. They have have 1000's of hours of him being taped. And when he is all hyper and apprehending a someone, he probably spews out all kind of things. They probably just bleeped it out. Now that it's public, they act like they didn't know.
As for those who feel his son was righteous and honorable for turning the tape in; I would agree had he not sold it and taken the money.
I will miss the show though. Maybe Leland could have a spin off?

Well I live in Hawaii, and he is big here. I was also shocked to hear the tape of him going off like that… But let me tell you, just because he is Christian, we are all humans, we SWEAR! we say things out of anger as well. People are not bringing up part of the tape where he actually says he does NOT mean it in the scumbag etc. way. Dog "The Bounty Hunter" Chapman's son has spilled the beans on his father to The National Enquirer and it isn't pretty. Dog's oldest son Christopher, 34, says "The Dog that people see on TV is nothing like he is in real life. He's a monster - a violent, racist tyrant who smokes crack." Chris goes on to say that his father introduced him to smoking crack and eventually crystal meth. He says "It turns my stomach to see him lecture people on not using drugs when he's the biggest drug user I ever saw. When he woke up after a crack binge he'd get violent with Beth and me and the other kids. The violence in that house was incredible - like a hillbilly trailer park." I went from watching his show religiously to never wanting to watch it again. His words brought heartache to me and im sure a lot of other people. Anyone whos a fan of dog has watched him save lives pull people out of the gutter and re arrange drug addicts to become better members of a community. I can't believe his own son would do that to him that is so not even cool. i loved his shows he doesn't seem racist at all thats not even fair that they stopped running his shows…..Hope everything works out
I wished people would leave DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER alone he has been through enough he is not a racist he like all people of the same color
He is a kind person and does good for people all of the CHAPMANS
are all good people to he gets bad people off of the street
and makes it safe for kids to play

and put his show back on TV
his show is really good
