Lindsay, Paris, Nicole, Britney and now Shia!
LaBeouf was arrested at a Walgreens in Chicago at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning for allegedly refusing to leave the premises.
A security guard observed Shia to be drunk and summoned police after LaBeouf refused several commands to leave the store.
And why should he??? Walgreens is where it's at!

I was out last night in Chicago at The Undergroud (it's a club) he was there acting all messed up. He was practically drooling watching me and my friend dance…then he fell over on one of benches from craining his neck to watch us dance on a platform. Pretty funny…didn't surprise me when I read here that he was arrested last night!

The only reason to be at Walgreen's at 2:30 in the morning is to buy beer after hours (the employees are all idiots, don't you see?) and the only reason to be arrested doing so is because you got belligerent and abusive when they refuse to sell (after all, they aren't idiots).

Re: Danial – I'll back you up about conditions at that specific location. I was there a few months ago on a business trip when a sudden rainstorm drove me inside to buy an umbrella. It was a Saturday afternoon, the place was packed yet the clerks all stood around doing nothing while only one register was open to handle a long line of irate customers. There were a lot of tourists there who were badly treated, and one has to wonder what sort of impression they had of Chicago (a wonderful city otherwise) after they left that Walgreens. I support Shia until there is proof positive that he was abusive and otherwise out of line.

Re: Welcome To Chicago – Well, I don't thin the cops had a choice - the guard made the trespassing complaint, so they probably had to take him in , since the charge is a misdemeanor. My question is - where was the Walgreen's store manager in all of this? Are you telling me that a stupid rent-a-cop has the authority to make a decision that could bring adverse publicity to a major corporation? Something smells, and in this case it isn't the Shia Pet.
Also, someone asked what he was doing there alone. That store is located right near the Water Tower in the Magnificent Mile section of the center city, and there are a number of luxury hotels within a block or two (the Park Hyatt, the Peninsula, and several others). My guess is that he went back to his hotel after being out, then stepped out to get something (maybe some medicine for the hangover)…

A security guard in a downtown Walgreens repeatedly told the actor, 21, that he was to leave the store because he appeared intoxicated, say police.
When LaBeouf refused, the guard alerted police. The arrest occurred at around 2:30 a.m.
Following his arrest, LaBeouf was described by authorities as “very courteous and polite.”
Bond was posted before 7 a.m., police said.
