We have some really great comics here, but Roseanne's right up there with the best. She's the shiz. Be proud of her! I hope she'll do some of the Canadian comedy festivals. I would guess that menopause would reap a lot of good material, but with all due respect, as an outsider she appears to think pretty clearly, agree or disagree. Her humor lends itself internationally, unlike some clever U.S. provincial insider humorists. Kudos from Kanada, Roseanne.

At the very least, I'm not scrolling past you now, and am now off to research Dickinson for a small bit, which is a positive. Re: Ugh… – Politics has always been fair game for comedians, unless you favor censorship because you disagree with her, which is not democratic, fool. Every single little politician running is using the media to schill their ideology. Roseanne is a citizen, and also has that right. She's far more astute than a lot of them, and funnier than ALL of them, regardless of whether you reside in the other camp.

I realize that you are probably right–perhaps not always–but it is a perception I never realized in my writing. [However, remember, I am a writer and a personal essay one at that so old habits die hard.]
Here are some of my favorite Emily Dickinson lines (from her poetry and letters). It is odd, but not surprising given her incredible worldliness (despite her chosen reclusion), that some of these are resonant of the "Cult of Celebrity" today. She would have observed from her computer screen but likely in a bemused way:
