    From PETAs own website they acknowledge killing 97% of all animals they take in. In the past PETA has done good things. At this point in their evolution they are among the worst extremists. Sitting in front of KFC and in the guise of giving away free chicken to KIDS…they give them a bucket of blood! They have also gone to dog shows and let very loved dogs loose that ended up running for their lives on busy streets. These actions and others are why people are turning against PETA.

    OMG. I am sooooooooooo sick of PETA. It's like the celebrity "it" thing to do. Now, if they would only do their homework. As a former Federal Maritime Conservationist, let me tell you that Ingrid Newkirk is f*cking insane. She would say the most ridiculous things, but the worst part would have to be her publicity stunts. She does these wacky-ass things that make PETA look ridiculous (but does get HER name in the paper . . . ). If you want to help animals, stop buying IAMS & other pet food tested in laboratories and contribute to the Humane Society- where the majority of their work is focused on helping animals, not making a stupid spectical of oneself.

    2. Stop buying into the hype and read. You might be surprised at how much Peta has hurt the animal rights movement with their stunts. Then again, it is the "popular" animal rights org., so this will probably mean nothing to you.
    3. If you look at my former post, you can see I've worked with the Feds on animal rights & Ms. Newkirk was more concerned about her image than anything else.
    4. Read up on the Humane Society.

    Educate yourselves on the goals of PETA. One of their espoused goals is to take away our right to own companion animals. Ingrid has stated that she feels we are holding our animals in servitude. She'd much prefer they have the right to run wild. Yeah Ingrid–let them fight to find food that is parasite ridden–form roving packs that will be exterminated by animal control when they struggle to develop survival skills.

    Other than bringing to light the conditions that 'some' fur animals are kept in and killed for their fur–tell me what real good PETA serves currently?

    Look on PETA's website…

    they want to put an end to domesticated animals..that means no more pet dogs or cats

    Last year they only adopted out 8 animals.. 97% were put down

    Last month I was at a dog show and the several dog's water bowls had been tainted with antifreeze PETA extremists claimed responsibility.

    do some homework on PETA, there is a documentary on youtube still I think
