Tameka Foster is talking to Essence magazine and ranting about the public's perception of her.
She says:
"We (black women) don't like ourselves. If I were Hispanic, Usher would have the sexiest wife alive. If I were mixed, he'd have the sexiest wife alive. But he has a black girl, and it's like, 'She's horrible and she's ugly!' "OK, maybe I don't fit the cookie-cutter standard - 25 and a size two - but this is who he loves. There are women getting raped in Darfur, young girls being turned out every single day right here in Atlanta. We have bigger issues to worry about than two people in love with each other".

I think she's right! If Usher would have married a women of another race or of lighter skin she probably would have been more accepted. I would first like to say that we (black women) do love ourselves. I personally believe that "Mrs. Raymond" has issues with her own image and probably does not like herself if she's talking the way she is about "if I were hispanic or mixed". I don't believe anyone cares what her race is, I mean Usher is a black man, if he wants a black woman that's fine. If anyone has issues about her appearance it's the fact that she's ugly altogether, has nothing to do with her race or ethnicity. Tameka Foster is making it seem like people have an issue with her because she's black when the issue is really because she's just the wrong person altogether.
First of all I personally believe she was lurking and plotting in the background from the very begining, being his stylist and all. Second she's like what 10 years older than him, why's she robbing the gradle? Third she was previously married and has kids for another man, she's coming into a relationship with a young man with total bagage. I don't know what Usher was thinkin, why would he want an older woman with kids and baby father drama? Ms. Foster probably got pregnant on purpose so she can have her 15 minutes of fame and get his money. Another reason for not liking her is that she doesn't get along with his mother. Now if you don't get along with the mother-in-law your relationship is headed for disaster from the get go. All these things that we (the people) read in the media are reason why she is not liked, it has nothing to do with her look. And of course the media is not always right or truthful but from what we get this is the opinion.
I would like to close my story of a comment by saying YES there are more important things two worry about than two people in "love" like poverty, crime, and war so why did she agree to but herself on the cover of Essence? Instead of being on the cover with her new famed status she should of offered to let the cover be about bigger issues in the community such as AIDS and so forth. Tameka with Usher's money go make a difference in the world.
