Everyone seems to love a good scandal or controversy but it's important to remember that at the end of the day, we're all human and quite often there's a beautiful side. That's what director Asif Kapadia is setting out to depict in his documentary Amy (above) about Grammy award winning artist Amy Winehouse!

The movie will cover Winehouse's life, show her musical talent and well as her rise through the years as she receives more and more media attention.

Along with unseen footage and even some unheard tracks, the documentary will also show how the immense pressure coupled with her troubled relationships and precarious way of life eventually lead her down a road which ends in her tragic death in 2011 at the age of 27.

We loved Amy so much and can't wait to hear the full story of her life! From A24, look for Amy to open in New York and Los Angeles on July 3, 2015 and Nationwide on July 10, 2015.

Remember Amy Winehouse In Celebration Of Her New Statue AND Her 31st Birthday

amy winehouse statue

She was quite a gift to the music world and that's why Amy Winehouse was commemorated with a new statue (above) this weekend in Camden.

More than three years ago, Amy's addictions took her away from us and she would've only been 31 if she was still alive today.

Amy's 31st birthday was just yesterday and it brings back flashes of all the very high highs and low lows in her short life.

Thank goodness she was able to bless our ears with what she could in the little time she was here.

The only way we know to remember the ultra talented woman taken from us way too soon is with a photo diary of her happiest moments.

We miss you, Amy.
