Billy Ray Cyrus was on Piers Morgan (above) and had a lot to say about his life and career, including his family and the comments he made in that infamous GQ interview.
Not only does he regret giving the interview at all, but he feels like that period of his life was the darkest. He went on to explain that instead of interviewing, he should have just taken some time to himself to handle things.
Piers went on to say that he aligned himself with a lot of what Billy Ray was saying out of his own experiences as a father with fame.
We think Piers is doing a wonderful job, and that Billy Ray needs to look back on the whole thing as a mistake that turned out okay in the end. As far as we know and can see, those relationships are mended. Perhaps while way out of line, the GQ thing was a necessary experience for him to get to where he is today with his family.
Or maybe it was a huge error on his part and he just ended up getting lucky that his family can harness forgiveness — what do U think is the case??

Now that Billy Ray Cyrus seems to have gotten his personal life back in order, it looks like he's putting his energy back into his music career.
He's got a new patriotic album entitled I'm American coming out tomorrow, and it actually looks like he's put a lot of thought into this one.
Here's Billy Ray on how he got inspired to create his patriotic album:

Kelly Osbourne and Miley Cyrus are good friends.
So, it makes sense that Kelly would stand up for her friend when and if her friend's dad spoke out of line to a news source!
Turns out, Kelly wasn't too pleased with the things that Billy Ray had to say about his daughter and her show a few weeks ago, and on Piers Morgan she decided to speak up about it.
Here's a recap of what he said first:
"The damn show destroyed my family. I hate to say it, but yes, I do (wish she hadn't got the job). I'd take it back in a second."
And here's how Kelly took off her gloves:
"I think that's a really inappropriate thing for someone to say, especially when what they did together gave that person their career back and that's not fair to do that to their own child. I think it's an inappropriate thing to say…
"He might have thought of it in a different way but in black and white it seems just so harsh… I love Miley, she's a dear friend of mine, and I know how hard she works.
"She works so hard and I just think that discredits everything that's she's done in her life - not just for herself but her whole family and I just think it's disrespectful."
Kelly has turned into such a well spoken woman, we love it! This is exactly how we felt about the situation, and while the whole thing might be over now after his apology, we can't help to still think the whole thing was out of line!
We're glad to see you standing up for a friend, too!
Come in and have a chat with us, Kelly!

Awww, the Cyrus fam went and got coffee together on Sunday, and even after all they've been through they look so great together!
It's so nice to see them taking some time to have a family day! Not to mention that it's pretty adorbs to see Miley so happy!
Things like this just have to happen from time to time!!
Hope you guys had fun and that the drinks were delish!

Aw! They are reconnecting! Everything is just how it used to be - including Billy Ray's hair! (We do not clap for that.)
Yesterday, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus were spotted cruising around Toluca Lake in their news van car and stopped off to get some gas. This is one of the first times we've seen the pair together since they announced they would no longer be getting a divorce and will instead try to mend their marriage.
Nothing like taking your tanker ride out for a spin to get some good bonding time in. Good for you guys!
P.S. - Billy, your mullet cannot be like Brett Farve. Get this phase out of your system, then retire it for good!

Does everybody have a TV show?
The Hallmark Channels recent press release makes it seem so.
An unscripted lifestyle series with Maya Angelou its first-ever original musical film and more Martha Stewart primetime interview specials are among the Hallmark Channel's programming slate for 2011-12.
The network also confirmed the launch of the previously unnamed Emeril's Table, a new daily cooking show featuring Emeril Lagasse, which will debut in the fourth quarter and got a 52 half-hour episode order.
The new 13-episode series hosted by writer Angelou is called The Spirit Table and will feature the host and well-known guests sharing life stories and cooking, executives said without immediately announcing names of likely guests. They said the show is targeted for a primetime run with a launch in early 2012.
Among 25 original movies scheduled for the Hallmark Channel will be The Music Teacher, the channel's first foray into musicals.
We are especially excited to announce Billy Ray Cyrus, is set to star in a Hallmark Channel original movie.
