It's been two year since we lost Brittany Murphy, but still, she is never far from the minds of those who loved her most. Her father, Angelo Bertolotti, especially hasn't forgotten who quickly and how strangely his daughter was taken from this world, which is why he has decided to do a little investigation of his own.

Angelo has decided to sure the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office over access to his late daughter's hair samples. In court documents, it was revealed that Brittany's father intends to reopen the case of her death and conduct his own testing, testing that will prove her demise wasn't attributed to pneumonia and anemia. The docs further stated:

According to Brittany Murphy's mom, the house Brittany was living in was responsible for her death.

And the death of her son-in-law as well. The culprit in the house?

What ever happened to that tell-all book by Brittany's mother? Is that still happening too?

This is tough.

The house that both Brittany Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack died in has gone into foreclosure and will be auctioned off on Monday morning.

The 8,000 square foot home is settled on 1.29 acres in the Hollywood Hills. A little over $4 million is still owed on the home.

It's a bit eerie to buy a house that two people tragically died in, however with its history, we're sure the house will sell at the auction.

As for Brittany's mom, Sharon, it must be difficult to lose her home, but it's probably for the best considering the horrible memories that are attached to that house.

We're sure it's hard for anyone who has lost a child to accept it, but it can't be healthy to pretend like it didn't happen at all - especially after a year has gone by!

Brittany Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy, admits that she's yet to come to terms with the death of her daughter and son-in-law because of the strange circumstances under which they both died. She explains to In Touch Weekly that "just in order to function" day by day, she pretends it just didn't happen. She adds that instead, she seeks solice in remebering better times spent with them, especially her daughter. She explains:

"I'm always remembering times with her. She would always say that we grew up together, and that's true. We were so close, and such great friends… I feel their presence here. It's comforting."

She's referencing Brittany's Beverly Hills mansion - the same place Brittany was found dead in over a year ago and the same place Sharon has not left in quite some time.

She's obviously in pain and we feel really bad for her. Hope she can find some closure, poor thing.

Winona Ryder recently discussed what it was like working with Angelina Jolie and Brittany Murphy on their 1999 movie, Girl Interrupted, saying that she was disappointed that she didn't become friends with Angie after working on the film together.

Even though she was hoping the two would be great friends, Winona says that Angelina insisted on staying in character and maintained a distance from her. She adds:

"I remember thinking, 'Oh we're going to turn out to be great friends.' But I think she needed to be able to look at me just as the character Susanna, not as Winona, so in a very respectful way she just kind of kept her distance. I saw her at one of the awards shows but I haven't really seen her since."

However, she does say that she is very proud of the way Angelina has handled her career.

"What she's accomplished after the film in terms of humanitarian stuff, I'm just really happy she did that. I remember in the press junket for Girl, Interrupted she would just be so open about her problems and then I would come in and everyone would think I was so boring. So it's really great to see she's found her calling in her personal life."

As for Winona's other co-star, she reveals how Brittany Murphy's sudden death affected her. "I can't watch the movie now because of Brittany Murphy. She kills herself in the movie . I was very close to her before she died."

Sad. We can only imagine how hard that would be to re-watch those scenes.

As for Angelina and Winona - we think they should pair up again and make another movie!

This is really such a shame!

Rosario Dawson was recently promoting her new film, Speed With Trains Unstoppable, and during which, discussed the fate of the long-awaited sequel to Sin City, Sin City 2, and how she hopes the film will pay tribute to Brittany Murphy, who played the role of Shellie in the original, and was expected to appear in the sequel in a much larger capacity before she passed away.

We hope she's right! We'd LOVE to see the sequel, and hopefully if it does happen, Murphy's memory can be honored some form.

Is this really necessary?!

Brittany Murphy passed away almost a year ago, and her mother Sharon is planning to write a tell-all book on the late actress.

Sharon said:

“This book will be my way of celebrating and honoring her extraordinary life and career. Brittany was a kind, loving person who enjoyed each day; she was my life. I am looking forward to everyone reading the accurate account about my daughter, her life, loves and career.

A portion of the proceeds that I receive from the book will be donated to charity."

That's very sweet, but we're not sure what there is to write. Her death was not a scandal, just extremely unfortunate.
