The death of Beastie Boy Adam Yauch devastated the music world (and us) this past Friday.
While some celebs mourned the late MCA through Twitter, Coldplay honored Adam's playful spirit in a cover of Fight For Your Right, and comedian Fred Armisen donned clothing similar to the iconic rapper's during the closing credits of SNL.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers also payed tribute to their fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer at their Newark, New Jersey show Friday, playing versions of What'cha Want and Gratitude, which are both off of the Beastie Boys' 1992 album, Check Your Head.
Frontman Anthony Keidis dedicated the show to Yauch, and in a heartwarming statement said:
Well apparently if you need a good date-night suggestion, a Coldplay concert is your answer!
Tons of celebrity couples were seen at the Hollywood Bowl Friday night, including these two!!!
Ryan Phillippe and Paulina Slagter got a little playful when the cameras came around. Paulina even jumped five feet off a wall!!!
Be careful, gurlie!!

Friday night, Coldplay gave a riveting performance of the Beastie Boys' Fight for your Right at the Hollywood Bowl.
And needless to say, the entire audience was moved beyond belief!!
It's been a really sad weekend for music. Our heart was breaking when we told you the news of Adam MCA Yauch's death.
Forty-seven is just way too young. But like we said, his music and imprint on the industry will live as long as time itself!!!

Ahh… once again, Coldplay made all of our lives a little more meaningful by performing Paradise on American Idol!!!
Meanwhile, the final five were pacing heavily back and forth, waiting for the results to be revealed… LOLz!!
With that music, their lives must have been EXTRA dramatic at that point, ha!! Especially for Skylar Laine who felt like she was snubbed by J.Lo!

Last night was a fantastic episode of America Idol (except for Skylar)!
The contestants were dwindled down from 5 to the final 4, AND Coldplay and Carrie Underwood rocked the house down!
The elimination of country singing Skylar was tough. She and her roommate/bff, Hollie Cavanagh, were in the final two (tears), leaving Phillip Phillips our choice as most likely to win.
Howeves, after the elimination show, Miz Laine impressed us with a gracious and positive perspective. She told cameras:
