In Loving Memory

adj-am-tribute__opt.jpg

As a tribute to DJ AM, longtime friend and graffiti artist JoeX2 designed a billboard that was just unveiled over Travis Barker's Famous Stars and Straps store in El Lay.

It reads, "In Loving Memory DJ AM."

He will continue to be missed!

DJ AM's Estate To Sue For Wrongful Death

travisadam__opt.jpg

We're not really sure what to make of this.

DJ AM's estate is suing for wrongful death Clay Lacy Aviation, the company that chartered the plane that crashed in South Carolina carrying both DJ AM and Travis Barker.

Additionally they are suing Goodyear Tire, Learjet and the estates of both pilots who were killed in the crash.

According to the documentation, they're suing for wrongful death because "the crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein's death."

The lawsuit makes note that Adam was forced to take drugs as a result of not only the burns he suffered from the crash but also to deal with the emotional distress. Adam became incredibly afraid of flying and began to take drugs to calm his nerves whenever he had to fly after the crash.

DJ AM's death was directly caused by a combination of the various prescription drugs and cocaine and in this case they are claiming that the drugs were a result of the crash.

We just don't know.

What do U think about the lawsuit?

DJ AM's Former Beverly Hills Residence For Sale!

wenn2449178__opt31__opt.jpg

And it's pretty morbid to market it as a bachelor pad!

DJ AM's estate has put his four-bedroom Beverly Hills home on the market for a whopping $3.8 million.

The gated property is located on a cul-de-sac and features canyon and city views, a custom built theater, landscaped gardens, pool and spa.

Sad.

The Gosselins Are More Popular Than Melrose Place

jon_kate_spousal_e__opt1.jpg

Sad news for the much anticipated DJ A.M. documentary. Earlier this month, MTV received the approval from Adam Goldstein's family to air his intervention documentary series Gone Too Far.

The show features young, real-life addicts and their loved ones while they attempt to get clean with help from Adam. However, the premiere on Monday only brought in 500,000 viewers. That's very low for MTV standards.

We're a bit surprised. We figured people might tune in to view the last bit of Adam's work.

But MTV isn't giving up hope on the show yet. According to an MTV spokesperson, the network still plans to keep the show in its time slot.

As for the reality trainwreck show Jon & Kate Plus 8 Kate Plus 8, their episode actually did better than the previous one. The show went up to 2.5 million viewers this week as opposed to 1.7 million last week.

But poor Melrose Place. People must be tired of watching Ashlee Simpson on the screen as the last episode brought in just 1.4 million viewers. That's a 22% drop and the show's lowest ratings yet.

Cancellation time, maybe?

Travis Barker Visits Burn Center

travisadam__opt.jpg

On a Blink 182 tour stop in Atlanta, Travis Barker visited the Joseph M. Still Burn Center, who treated his injuries and friend DJ AM after a plane crash last September.

He stopped by with the intention of thanking the doctors that saved his life!!

"I'm here to say 'thank you' to everyone who took care of me after the accident," said Travis. "I was sort of unconscious the last time I was here, and I felt like I owed them a big 'thank you.' "

The drummer met with patients being treated at the center and signed autographs for them!

He even Tweeted his gratitude: "Just leaving the JMS burn center here in GA. Amazing talented people over there, angels is what I like to call them. Wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for them. Glad I was able to go by and say thank u. I'll never forget them or what they did for me."

And on top of the sizable donation, it was an especially honorable gesture!

South Park Kills! And Brings People Back From The Dead!

In the HIGHlarious (although, some would argue crass) season premiere, deceased celebrities rose from their grave to haunt the boys of South Park.

Billy Mays, David Carradine, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, Walter Cronkite, DJ AM and Michael Jackson were just some celebrities to be trapped in purgatory, waiting to enter heaven.

Jackson went as far as to inhabit Ike's body and force him to do terrible impersonations, resulting in banishing him by parodying child beauty pageants.

But, Mays came back pitching a new product, Chipoltaway, which helped those that ingested Chipotle remove the blood from their underwear.

Mayjah LOLs!!!

Vulgar. Tasteless. And we loves it!

Watch the clip (above) to laugh your ass off or be offended!

You choose!

MTV To Air DJ AM's Documentary Series In October

wenn2449178__opt31__opt.jpg

MTV has received consent from Adam "DJ A.M." Goldstein's family to air his intervention documentary series Gone Too Far beginning on October 12.

His family says of Adam and the show:

"After careful consideration we have decided to air the show. Adam felt strongly that by doing this series he could help other addicts who were at a crisis point to get sober. Adam was fully aware that if it were not for his own sobriety he never would have achieved the level of success and happiness he had found. Helping people in their recovery was a huge part of Adam’s life. It is our hope through airing this show that people will get to see the side of Adam that we knew and loved, not just the celebrity DJ, but the honest and caring person who gave so much of himself to help others. The decision to air the show has been difficult, but we do this with the profound belief that it will inspire others to seek help."

The show features young real-life addicts and their loved ones who are attempting the road to recovery with help from Adam.

We agree with his family and think airing the series will get Adam's message out to a larger audience and be an even bigger inspiration to people struggling with addiction.

You are missed, Adam.

The Autopsy Results Are In, DJ AM's Death Was Accidental

wenn2376942am__opt.jpg

According to the NYC Medical Examiner, the cause in the death of DJ AM was ruled as accidental due to substance abuse.

The results of the autopsy showed "acute intoxication" due to the combination of cocaine, oxycodone, Vicodin, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and Levamisole (a drug commonly used to cut cocaine).

So sad.

MTV Still Wants To Air DJ AM Intervention Series

wenn2449178__opt31.jpg

Before his sudden and tragic death, DJ AM worked on a drug-intervention show with MTV called Gone Too Far. The production team was able to capture enough footage for the making of eight episodes and the network intends to show them.

At the moment, the production heads are in talks with DJ AM's family about how and when to show the episodes. It is suggested that because the show follows DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein, in the role of a "sober and experienced tough-love guide for troubled addicts" and the strong implications that his own death resulted from drug abuse, that the show would come off as " hypocritical or exploitative."

On the other hand, the show could send a strong anti-drug message by showcasing the strong, focused man DJ AM was without the drugs.

In a way, we think it would be nice tribute to him as he obviously had a stance to help others overcome their addictions.

Will U watch his reality show?
