The day has finally come. Nirvana, one of the most influential bands in music history has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The momentous occasion comes almost exactly twenty years after lead singer Kurt Cobain’s death, whose memory was ever present at the ceremony in Brooklyn last night.
Joining the band for four emotional performances were four immensely talented ladies - Lorde, Joan Jett, Sonic Youth vocalist Kim Gordon and St. Vincent.
Each one stepped up to the mic to sing one of Nirvana’s now classic songs. 17-year-old Lorde channeled her inner ennui for a cover of All Apologies. Jett of course had to show she’s still very much a rock star with a rousing rendition of Smells Like Teen Spirit.
St. Vincent performed Lithium while Gordon took on Aneurysm.
Just a truly amazing night for music.

After years of animosity following Kurt Cobain's tragic passing, Courtney Love and Dave Grohl FINALLY showed each other some momentary love last night while Nirvana was being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center.
The two put their legal battles and highly publicized arguments aside, coming together to honor the entire band and their monumental achievements!
Courtney, who is Cobain's widow, got extremely emotional on stage, revealing how much she wished he was there to experience the occasion:

That's what some filmmakers were wondering when they got a whole group of teenagers to sit down and listen to the amazing grunge band Nirvana.
While opinions definitely varied, it was clear that this music had

They just won the hell out of Best Rock Song for Cut Me Some Slack!!
This year they were up against some great entries — Gary Clark Jr., Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, and Muse — but it wasn't enough to pull the win out of one of the Beatles' hands!!
By the way — we love Dave Grohl a little more than what's considered healthy, too. Don't tell anyone! LOLz!
Congrats to everyone!!
