Aw! This is a pretty nice - and pretty HIGHlarious - gesture!

Although David Letterman and Jay Leno have been feuding for as long as we can remember, it appears that the former is attempting to absolve himself of any bad blood between he and his fellow late night talk show hosts, and called for "a truce" on Friday night's Late Show!

Last week, we heard that Howard Stern was reportedly in talks to replace Piers Morgan as a judge on America's Got Talent.

Then earlier this week, Howard said that he DOESN'T have any kind of deal in place to join the show.

Now, Howard has opened up further about America's Got Talent, and it's QUITE clear that he's still interested in the judging job:

Yesterday, David Letterman stopped by Live! to big Regis Philbin a fond farewell after 17,000 shows! (That's what the man said!) As the funny and memorable interview came to a close, David unexpectedly stood up and kissed Regis goodbye on behalf of us all who will miss him so.

Or, after all these years, he's just been waiting for his moment to finally express his true feelings and he just went for it! Kelly Ripa did scream something about a probing tongue! LOL!

On Sunday night, Joan Jett joined the Foo Fighters onstage at Madison Square Garden in New York City for a cover of Jett's early-'80s solo hit Bad Reputation.

The rockers were kind enough to make a repeat performance on Late Show David Letterman for those of us that missed the show — and it's awesome.

Yesterday, Bill Maher visited The View to talk about his new book…and he ended up getting into some serious drama with Elisabeth Hasselbeck!

Then last night, Bill appeared on the Late Show (above), where he commented on his awk-ward View appearance, and took a few more jabs at Elisabeth.

This of course begs the question….Team Maher or Team Hasselbeck???
