Yes! Now tell us that Bernadette Peters is going to be asked to be on the show FULL TIME! C'mon, NBC!
Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!
It was announced to that the Peacock network has decided to give their musical hit SMASH an encore season, granting it a second season!
It's kind of a no-brainer: amazing cast, some really great music … Anjelica Huston! K'duh!
How, and we guess it's also NBC's top drama in viewers in the 18-49 demographic, which means advertisers will want to put ads up during that time … which means CHA-CHING!
Nothing not to love about all that!
As the tagline screams:
The DISH hits the fan!!!
We won't say much, just in case you didn't happen to see last night's episode (which you really should've made time for, BTW), but we will say this: DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMA!
Oh, Ivy Lynn! Whatever is happening to you!
Check out the video (above) to see the promo for next week's all-new SMASH!

Now that's how you kick off a show!
Last night, the premiere of SMASH debuted on NBC and those of you who resisted the temptation of downloading the pilot on iTunes and watching it OnDemand finally got a chance to see it in all it's glory. We invite anyone who wants to to disagree with us, but in our opinion, that might be the best drama pilot episode of a new series since Lost. The talent, the story, the music — it all fit together so seamlessly and brilliantly. Stand outs for us included the impeccable, scene-stealing efforts of the legendary Anjelica Huston and the captivating voice of Megan Hilty, whose character wasn't who we thought she would be — and we were pleasantly surprised by that.
But

Yes! Maybe 2012 will be NBC's year!
Lat night was a WIN for the Peacock network between the return of The Voice and the premiere of SMASH. Taking it's place at its regular time slot, The Voice averaged a demo rating of 6.6, and impressively swelled every half hour, starting at a 5.3 and ending at 7.7.
As for the newbie, SMASH started off solidly with a 4.2 demo rating, then slipped to a 3.4 come its second half-hour averaging out to a 3.8. We imagine that number will go up next week, since a lot of people watched the show online before its premiere. Next week, the HAVE to tune in to see what Anjelica Huston will do next! (Have we mentioned we adore her?!)
Did U tune in for the NBC lineup last night? What did U think?

Well! Things are moving along quite nicely for these two, huh?
Shortly after becoming a divorcee, Debra Messing reportedly started a relationship with her Smash co-star Will Chase. After last night's world premiere of the show in New York, we'd say that the pair have gotten bit more serious.
After the premiere, Will and Debra joined her parents for an extravagant feast. Will was seen getting chummy with Deb's dad, while the lady in red (hair) sat with her mother at her side. No word on how the rents took to Will, but here's hoping they warmed up to him. Debra actually told reporters on the red carpet that she is currently "very" happy and we would have to assume he's part of that.
And really, what else is there but happiness?!
