This is awful!
Here's the whole story (below):
Here it is! The pairing we never knew we needed!
First, Katy presented Dolly with the Tex Ritter Award, celebrating both the woman herself and the movie based on her life, Coat Of Many Colors.
Then the pair came together to perform a medley of Dolly's classics Coat Of Many Colors, Jolene, and 9 to 5!

Between her fishnets, pink pattern cowboy boots, metallic fringed skirt, and crop top — we're overwhelmed, just completely overwhelmed!
She finished the JEREMY SCOTT COUTURE look with a huge bouffant hairstyle, pink lipstick, and massive statement earrings.
Here's hoping she changes into a little something more classic for her duet with Dolly Parton later!

This is what happens when you let the inmates run the asylum — or in this case, when you let the singers host the Academy of Country Music Awards!
And they even got Carrie Underwood to join in the insanity! LOLz!

Dolly Parton and Kimberly Perry from The Band Perry chose flesh-colored hues for their strut down the red carpet at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas — and even though the color is safe, they still stood out!
Miz Perry showed style with her long-sleeved frock, featuring sequin detailing and a plunging v-neck! Dolly also added shimmer which is customary to any country show — but went slightly overboard with lace sleeves and an overly accessorized bust area.
Still, we're excited to see what the musical queen is going to wear during her performance with Katy Perry later this evening! Squeee!

Shut the front door.
While we're not necessarily the biggest country fans in the world, we have to give those crooners some credit when it comes to branching out towards the mainstream.
Apparently, Dolly's Coat of Many Colors TV movie has already been selected to receive the coveted Tex Ritter Award, so she'll be taking the stage with KP to celebrate.
This is the 70-year-old music legend and 31-year-old pop star's first time singing together live, so we're looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

While sitting down with Entertainment Tonight, the Disney darling's godmother was asked about Miz Cyrus rekindled romance with the Hunger Games actor — and it seems that the music legend was more than willing to sing the twosome some praise.
When asked if she likes the young stars together, she gushed:
Dolly Parton is ready to see her fans again — and this time, she's keeping it Pure & Simple!
The country icon will be traveling to more than 60 cities nationwide as she embarks on her first major U.S. and Canadian tour in over 25 years!
Parton's stripped down set-list will include her hits as well as a few new songs from her double disc album Pure & Simple and Dolly's Biggest Hits — which is dropping this summer!
The 9 to 5 singer also teased that she would be playing songs fans have not heard live for decades! Speaking at a press event on Monday, she said:
