Ewan McGregor, Wild Thing!

His hair can't be tamed - and we're alright with that!!!

Yesterday, Ewan McGregor stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman in New York to promote his new movie, Beginners. Before heading inside the theater, he graciously signed some autographs and took pics with some fans.

The scruff, Ewan…we like! It looks super good on you. Delectably wonderful, in fact! Mmm! Mmm! Mmm!

Have a look at more of Ewan's special brand of seksi in the gallery (below).

Moulin Rouge Could Have Starred…Courtney Love & Heath Ledger!

Inneresting!

In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the release of Moulin Rouge, Baz Luhrman sat down for an in-depth interview about the film and revealed some shocking details about which stars auditioned for the lead roles - and which were really close to landing them!

Although we can't imagine Christian and Satine being played by anyone else other than Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman, at least for the male lead, Ewan had some hefty competition. Baz reveals that Brokeback Mountain co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger both were front-runners for the part at one point. Baz explains:

"Dear Heath Ledger, [he had] incredible scenes with Nicole. Because at one stage, Christian [the role that went to McGregor] was very young, he was a younger guy, and then I was aware of Ewan but I didn't know if he could sing… [And] Jake should do a musical. He's a wonderful actor, but [he has a] great voice, tremendous voice. He sang some [Stephen] Sondheim for me, complicated singing, great voice. When is he going to guest on 'Glee?' "

We don't know! When, Ryan Murphy, WHEN?! LOLZ!

As for the role of Satine, there was no question for Baz that Nicole was the right choice, but for a time, Baz considered giving a part to Courtney Love, a woman he calls "wild and unpredictable and a great performer." No, she wouldn't have gotten the lead, but he did want to find a place for her, espcially after she so graciously offered him the rights to Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. In the end though, she was kept behind-the-scenes.

Yeah, that was probably for the best. We don't know how spectacular, spectacular she would've been under the pressure of filming a major motion picture. But Heath…now that would've been interesting. It's hard to picture, but if there's an audition tape flying around, we'd love to see it!

Ewan on Trainspotting Sequel!

Renton Might Return To The Big Screen

Ewan McGregor gets approached by people all the time. The number one thing they ask about? A Trainspotting sequel!

Well, Ewan recently responded to the demand for a part two:

"It's still the main thing people ask me about when they come up to me in the street. It's not something that I would completely dismiss off-hand until I've seen a script. I don't like being the guy that's making it not happen, especially when all the other guys want to make it."

The author of the first story DID pen a sequel called Porno, but Ewan wasn't a huge fan of it:

"I wouldn't want to do a sequel to 'Trainspotting' if it was just for the sake of it and, if I'm honest about it, I wasn't that blown away by the book. There's too many poor sequels in the world."

Understandable, Ewan!

We don't completely think it's necessary to have a sequel unless they put the proper amount of love and effort into it, so until we see someone step up to the plate with amazing intentions, we'll stick with the original.

How about that worst toilet in Scotland scene?? Just think about it, LOLz!

Would U like to see Renton again??

Ewan McGregor On Nude Scenes: "No More!"

No More Nudes For McGregor

It's no secret: Ewan McGregor has been naked in movies almost more often than he has not.

He feels, though, as he gets older that sex scenes are rarely necessary and that he's deciding to keep his nudity private from now on!

Ewan:

“I’m getting older and the actresses stay younger. I don’t want to become Clint Eastwood, where his love interests seem 50 years younger than him. You never want female co-stars to feel like you’re taking advantage of the situation. Anyhow, sex scenes are terribly exposing and rarely of any use in learning about character.”

While we agree that sex scenes rarely mean much of anything in terms of telling the audience about a character, we would just like to say that approaching 40 or not, you're still a looker and we'd be cool with you continuing to do them!

LOLz!

But we suppose that if they're starting to make you uncomfortable that it's okay with us if you don't want to do them anymore!

Ewan, we hope things keep going really well for you!

Are U sad that Ewan won't be in the buff for movies anymore??
