Emma Watson attends The Circle premiere.

A vision!

Emma Watson was elegance personified at the premiere of The Circle at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York Wednesday night.

The Beauty and the Beast star looked classy and pristine in an off-shoulder white Monique Pean dress with a high thigh slit that somehow ended up looking demure rather than sexy. Or demurely sexy, if you will.

| Filed under: Film FlickersHarry PotterIan McKellen

Sir Ian McKellen's most iconic role is Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings films, but he could have played an all-powerful wizard from another beloved book-turned-movie series too!

That's right, the veteran actor was approached about taking over as Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films following the 2002 death of the OG Richard Harris.

Making an appearance on BBC's HARDtalk show, the 77-year-old explained he couldn't take over Harris' role because he knew the late actor wasn't a fan of his acting abilities!

Host Stephen Sackur brought up the alleged quote by Harris, where he called McKellen and a few other actors "technically brilliant but passionless." While McKellen thinks Harris' critique is "nonsense," he still "couldn't take over the part from an actor who I'd known didn't approve of me."

Eventually, Michael Gambon took over as the Hogwarts Headmaster for the rest of the series. But McKellen doesn't have any hard feelings, quipping that Gandalf is "the real wizard." Ha!

And the shadiest, apparently! For more roles that could have been…

Attention, Harry Potter Fans! There Is Now Butterbeer Ice Cream!

No, you aren't looking into the mirror of Erised; there really is butterbeer flavored ice cream now!

Thanks to beer company Yuengling's (yep, they make ice cream now, too!), the ambiguously alcoholic refreshment from Harry Potter is now the newest frozen dessert!

Per the ice cream maker's press release:

"Once described by J.K. Rowling "a little bit like less sickly butterscotch," the Yuengling's Ice Cream take on the flavor will be made from half buttercream ice cream, half butterscotch ice cream, and twisted with a butterscotch swirl. The result is magical decadence that will transport you to another place and time."

Holy yuletide balls that sounds amazing!

(And no, the sweet treat does NOT contain alcohol! DanRad is just buzzing on that felix felicis.)
