On Saturday, the 12-year-old took to Britain's Got Talent to showcase her surprisingly strong pipes.

The young hopeful even impressed the typically sour faced Simon Cowell, who seemed to love her rendition of Defying Gravity from Wicked.

While Ms. Dermott appeared shy and uncomfortable before she began to sing, that all melted away as soon as she opened her mouth.

The House of Mouse announced the news on Twitter Tuesday afternoon that the Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell movie will be getting the musical treatment for a Broadway run slated for Spring 2018, with pre-shows the Summer of 2017, saying:

There's nothing we want more than for Idina and Kristen to come back as Elsa and Anna, and to be honest, we could totally see that happening!

We don't know too much else, other than that Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will be providing music and lyrics, with a book by Jennifer Lee… but this is officially the best news of 2016!!!

UPDATE 6:00 P.M. EST: The actor has taken to Instagram to clarify his comments, writing:

"I am a proud black man. I want my son to grow up to be a proud black man if he so chooses. He has a mother who is white. He has every right to be just as proud of his mother's "blood" as well. Please wake up, people. It's not that deep."

Taye Diggs is going to catch a lot of flack for this one.

In a recent interview, Taye admitted that he doesn't want people to call his six-year-old son Walker "black". Considering the actor is a proud and self-identifying black man, this comment may be perplexing to some.

According to Diggs, he prefers the term mixed or biracial to describe Walker because the boy's mother, Idina Menzel, is white. While the two are now divorced, they remain committed co-parents and have a lot of respect for one another.

Ok, we see where this is going!
