Three years after breaking up with Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer is finally ready to say farewell to his one great love … in song!

Turns out, his latest single is actually an homage to America's sweetheart!

John Mayer is SOO over El Lay in his just released official music video for Shadow Days.

The first single off his new album Born and Raised (which hits stores next month) is waaaay more country than we're use to hearing from the Body Is A Wonderful musician, and he really plays it up in the vid.

Showing off some long locks, Johnny M looks like he may have jacked his outfit from Johnny Depp!

John Mayer's throat may be under construction, but that hasn't stopped the musician from constructing some non-verbal treats for our ears!

Mayer recently posted this ethereal, instrumental recording of Lana Del Rey's hit tune Video Games, and we have to say…we like it better than the original!

Maybe we like it because it lacks Lana's unpredictable, breathy voice, or because it takes the song (and us) to an unknown dimension where music is a tangible, physical object - the guitar strumming invades your brain and flutters over your body like it's got fingers!!

The singer was spotted leaving Wolfgang Puck and it looked like those throat issues weren't keeping him down!

We hope he gets better fast so everyone can enjoy that golden voice of his. We guess we'll just have to soothe ourselves with his upcoming album until then!

Now we just need to do something about that outfit…

While getting her drink and (Parliament) smoke on at the Laurel Tavern with a gal pal in El Lay, the actress was over heard gushing over one of Hollywood's most notorious heartbreakers: John Mayer.

She was overheard saying how she wanted to record a song with Mr. Mayer because:

John Mayer has burst into fiery wonder and emerged from the “shadows,” true phoenix style.

After a loooong hiatus, the pop/easy-listening master of mellow has recently been teasing fans with song snippets and cover art for his upcoming album Born and Raised and he is FINALLY delivering something substantial.

This week, John leaked the FULL version of his track, “Shadow Days” on Cities97 Radio, although the song's official release date is March 6th.
