This is SO great!!
Stephen Colbert was minding his business, hosting The Late Show on CBS, when he got the best kind of surprise… his old buddy Jon Stewart!
While Colbert was in the midst of discussing — and celebrating — FOX News CEO Roger Ailes' departure from the network after a series of sexual harassment allegations, Stewart popped up from under Colbert's desk!

The two had a HIGHlarious little mini-reunion earlier in the week, but this time the former Daily Show host fell back into his old rhythm, going off on an amazing speech against Donald Trump and some of the right-wing media members — like FOX News' Sean Hannity — who support him.
In perhaps the very best passage of the night, Stewart made clear what so many others have seen about the Republican Party, saying:
On Monday night, the Republican National Convention took place and Stephen Colbert did a special live episode of The Late Show to cover it!
Not only that, but the comedian brought along his former boss and buddy, Jon Stewart, to help clown on and warn the world of the evil that is Donald Trump. LOLz!

Of course, Stewart was his HIGHlarious self, but Stephen had more tricks up his sleeve as he also sang a song, brought back his Colbert Report character for The Word, and dished a WHOLE lot more about the RNC.

Ever since Jon Stewart left The Daily Show, we haven't really heard much from him.
Sure, he showed up for a wrestling match, and appeared on Stephen Colbert's late show to poke fun at Donald Trump, but we sure have missed his unique take on politics!
Thankfully, on Monday, the 53-year-old stopped by David Axelrod's live taping of his podcast, The Axe Files, and chatted it up about what's going on with both the election and politics in the U.S.

One of the obvious big talking points was Trump as Stewart didn't hold his feelings back as he said:
"He is a man-baby… He has the physical countenance of a man and a baby's temperament and hands. … (Vanity Fair editor) Graydon Carter did a joke about Donald Trump's hands 25 years ago, he's still not f*cking over it."
The comedian continued his Donald bashing by saying:
Apparently Jon's got no "zazz"!
Monday night, Jon Stewart made a surprise appearance on The Daily Show to help bring attention to the expired James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act which helps pay for 9/11 first responders' medical ailments.
But the former late night host isn't stopping with one appearance as he swung by his old pal Stephen Colbert's Late Show Thursday to further his campaign to get congress to pass the act permanently.

Unfortunately, Stewart's been out of the game long enough that his former costar doesn't think he can hold the audience's attention anymore.
That's why Colbert had a Donald Trump wig on hand and told Jon to do his best impersonation while making his pitch — because you know, EVERYONE pays attention to Trump for some reason. LOLz!
Ch-ch-check out the HIGHlarious impersonation (below) and let us know how you think did!
We've missed you, Jon!
It seems like an eternity since Jon Stewart left The Daily Show in early August. While the new host, Trevor Noah, has done a great job so far, it's just not quite the same.
Well last night, Stewart gave us what we've all been missing as he returned to the hit comedy news show — but it wasn't all laughs.

Though the former late night host received several cheers from the audience, Jon actually stopped by the show to help bring attention to the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act. This act, which expired on October 1 this year, helped to pay for the medical ailments 9/11 first responders have suffered including cancer, respiratory and digestive disorders, as well as mental health conditions.
So the funnyman did what he does best and took a group of 9/11 responders to the U.S. Capitol to visit officers of senators in hopes of having them pass the act permanently.

Finally, a woman in late night!
Samantha Bee first made a name for herself as a standout comedian on The Daily Show, but now she's about to get her very own talk show and we couldn't be more excited.
Not only is she going to be bringing a female voice to a male-dominated industry, but she'll also be representing her nerds proudly!

To prove her geek cred, Jon Stewart's former costar's latest promo calls upon a classic Star Wars scene at the cantina… but things don't go quite as planned since she's not entirely sure how to operate as a sith lord. LOLz!
If Full Frontal with Samantha Bee is as random yet topical as this commercial, then we're sure it's going to be a success when it premieres on TBS this February.

He wasn't gone for long, and he's already back!
It was the end of an era back in August when Jon Stewart left the Daily Show desk after serving as host for an astounding 16 years.
And while correspondent Trevor Noah has done a commendable job leading the Comedy Central late night series, we were still a little curious as to where Jon was going to end up.

Well, that question was finally cleared up for us on Tuesday when it was reported that the 52-year-old would be taking his talents to HBO for a four-year development deal!
Apparently, the comedian will start out by creating short format videos for the premium cable network's digital services, but this could transition further into potential television or movie opportunities, should he want to take on such a challenge.
Jon is one of the most awarded producers in sketch and satire of all time, so we're beyond confident that his work with HBO is going to turn out just as fantastic!
