Veep Is Once Again Elected Outstanding Comedy Series At The 2017 Emmys!

In a night of Donald Trump jabs, Sean Spicer cameos, and more Donald Trump jabs, political comedy continues to reign supreme at the 2017 Emmys!

After Julia Louis-Dreyfus won her historic sixth Outstanding Lead Actress award for playing Selina Meyer in Veep, the acclaimed HBO series once again landed a win for Outstanding Comedy Series!

Taking the stage in front of the cast and writers, showrunner David Mandel gave a touching speech thanking creator Armando Iannucci, the cast and crew, and the other comedies in their category:

Atlanta, Black-ish, Master of None, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and of course, The Trump White House. Ha!

It's another one for Julia Louis-Dreyfus!

On Sunday, the Veep actress took home the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series trophy at the 2017 Emmys. Julia's big win wasn't necessarily shocking as she's won this particular award every year since 2012. Color us impressed!!

Despite being a shoo-in for this prize, the industry vet JUST beat out her comedic peers — including Pamela Adlon (Better Things), Jane Fonda (Grace & Frankie), Allison Janney (Mom), Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Tracee Ellis Ross (black-ish), and Lily Tomlin (Grace & Frankie).

Can you believe it's Emmys time AGAIN?!

We used to have a nice break from awards season, but now there's a show for a million things because celebs love recognition! LOLz!

Anyway, the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards nominations are in, and boy is it an exciting time to be alive.

Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton Lead Heartfelt Reactions To Jimmy Kimmel's Story About His Newborn Son's Emergency Healthcare!
