Amazing!

Sex & The City star Kristin Davis is a new mom, after adopting daughter Gemma Rose Davis a few months ago!

She reveals:

"This is something I have wanted for a very long time. Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed."

We knew it was too good to be true.

We told you about the gossip of Sex and the City returning to TV yesterday, and while we had our skepticism too, we still held on a little bit of hope.

But a rep from

Despite heavy talk of a Sex and the City prequel film, the franchise's head writer and director, Michael Patrick King, told journalists last week:

My Carrie Bradshaw started at 33 and I took her to 40. For me the idea of going backward and making her less evolved…is something I don't even imagine doing. I am sure Candace Bushnell did a great job on them (the books) but I have no connection to a prequel.

But according to some inside sources,

Yeah, we can understand this sentiment!

It's about time to let the franchise end on a decent good note.

Although there's been talk of a Sex & The City prequel film being made, Sarah Jessica Parker has publicly stated that she doesn't think that it's a good idea, and now, her co-star Kristen Davis is following suit!

She recently explained:

"Not so into the prequel movie. Because we're us and we've discussed our history in the show already so for all of our fervent fans who listen to what we say, why would we rewrite that? And then have like different people with our names? It's kind of freaky."

Agreed! No need to re-write what they've already touched upon in the show!

Not to mention the cute flashbacks in the movie sequel were a nice little nod to the beginning of the girls' friendships!

Back in November, Sex and the City 2's Kristin Davis said that the SATC ladies would love to do another film.

That may be true, but according to Sarah Jessica Parker, it's not happening any time soon.

Here's what Sarah had to say about another SATC movie:

"I would go back. I think there's one more story to tell. I know there is."

"I'd definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael would do it right. But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?"

And more from Carrie Sarah:

"It's not that I want to get away from [SATC]. In a million years, who could get away from it it?"

"…If I'm not scared again that's not good for me. That's literally no good for me. If I'm not terrified and nauseous and worried the first two weeks of production, then what's going to happen? You could wither on the vine. It's like if you can't use your leg. It just atrophies."

And here's Sarah on the possibility of a SATC prequel movie:

"I was like, Wha-a-a-a-t? There are a lot of important and interesting stories that 21-year-olds can tell. I don't begrudge any 21-year-old the opportunity to tell their stories. They prove to us on an everyday basis that they're interesting. Even their narcissism is interesting. Even their inertia is interesting. Even their tonal speech patterns are interesting."

"But I don't think we can pretend to go back. It's creating two histories. It's like, 'Oh I didn't know that about Carrie Bradshaw.' "

Sarah certainly makes some valid points.

As far as we're concerned, whenever they decide to do a third one, whether it be five years from now or five months from now, we just hope they'll put a lot of care into it. What's the point if they just phone it in?

We won't go so far as to say that they phoned in the sequel…but it could def have been better!

The other night, Kristin Davis was at Esquire House's Oxfam party in Hollywood when a reporter cornered her and asked her the million dollar question: Will there be a third Sex & The City movie.

Truth is, the last one didn't go over so well and if they have plans for another one, they'd better get start fast for, um, "timing" constraints, if you catch our drift.

But are the ladies game for it? According to Miz Charlotte, that's a yes! She told sources:

"We'd love to do it! Of course we would do it."

With that said, she insisted that there are no plans in place to start on a third one, at least none that she is aware of .

Cross your fingers and your Jimmy Choos. Maybe there is still hope left!

And we'll welcome her with open arms!!

Sex and the City's Kristin Davis will be returning to the small screen in a new NBC show called The Happiness Project, based on the best-selling memoir by Gretchen Rubin.

The book was written when Rubin worked as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and went on a year-long quest to find happiness.

The show will have a similar premise as it follows "a woman's quest to become a happier person." It will be produced by Universal Media Studios and Mosaic and written and executive produced by Kristin Newman, who has produced Chuck and How I Met Your Mother.

So far, we love this idea! And we're so happy to have Kristin back on TV!

We'd don't care what the critics say, we liked the Sex & The City movies. Sure they might not be as good as the show, but who cares?!

A few hours spent with girls is just the kind of pick-me-up we like!

But according to Kristin Davis, the studio isn't looking too fondly on making a a follow-up to Sex & the City 2 since the flick didn't do as well at the box office as they had hoped. She explains:

"I don't think so, not that I know of. I wish it was so that we were continuing but I don't know. We made 300 million internationally. There was so much hype, not coming from us, but the media hyped it up and then they tore it down."

Boo, media! How dare you have high expectations for an A-list sequel? For shame!

Still, we aren't giving up all hope that we'll get a Sex & The City 3. As long as there is enough Botox to keep them looking fresh, people will still watch!
