The Grand National Horse Race is upon us.

The annual event takes places in Liverpool, England and is a tradition that started over fifty years ago!

500 to 600 million people tune in from all over the world, but one person who won't be watching and is emphatically NOT a fan is Leona Lewis.

As you know Leona Lewis has been named the new brand activist for The Body Shop cosmetics company, and at a photocall in London on Wednesday she looked particularly prim in a rather Puritanical outfit.

Perfect for churning body butter! Ha!

No, but seriously, her high-neck collared ASOS dress and opaque tights are slightly severe, so we're glad she chose to brighten up the look a bit with candy-pink lipstick and caramel waves.

Her face is SO beautiful, though! It just isn't fair!

So of course eco-friendly beauty retailer The Body Shop has teamed up with her to launch a new collection!

They're coming out with new makeup and a fragrance for spring, and it's all animal-testing free!

And it’ll all get Better In Time!

Leona Lewis is set to make 2013 hers, by not only dropping her management company, but also by gracing us with a brand new album!

The Bleeding Love songbird is set to hit up the studio to record some fresh new music in the next few months and will drop her fourth album later this year!

While her last album, Glassheart, made it to number three in the UK, her single, Lovebird, didn’t quite do so well.

Syco, Leona’s label, however, is planning on keeping her a “key priority artist,” with high hopes for her next album!

We’re definitely looking forward to hearing more from Leona — that voice is MUCH too stunning to go to waste!

This comes less than A DAY BEFORE an asteroid, identified as 2012DA14, is apparently going to miss hitting Earth by about 17,150 miles - the closest recorded pass EVER!

Local resident Serget Hametov explained:

"There was panic. People had no idea what was happening. We saw a big burst of light, then went outside to see what it was and we heard a really loud, thundering sound."
