After having a screenplay ready to go, written by Josh Zetumer, Channing Tatum has finally found a director who was willing to take on his Gambit movie!

After rumors that several high-profile directors were approached regarding the superhero spinoff and turned it down, English director Rupert Wyatt has been tapped for the solo X-men movie, Gambit, which will star Tatum as the titular hero.
Wyatt is probably best known for giving new life to The Planet of the Apes franchise by directing the 2011 hit, Rise of the Planet of the Apes! He most recently directed The Gambler, starring Mark Wahlberg, which will tie into Gambit's character quite nicely.
Gambit, also known as Remy LeBeua, is a mutant in the X-men universe who's relatively new, as his first appearance was in 1990. Though he eventually joins the X-men team in the comics, he's also known for his solo adventures. Remy, who's a cajun from Louisiana, has the power to
