Werewolves have been one of the most iconic figures in mythology for centuries!

Over the past 80 years, these scary beasts have become a staple of horror movies — and even comedies like the original Teen Wolf, which came out on this day in 1985!

The werewolf has been through silent movies, comedies, big budget blockbusters, television, and even music videos! (Thriller, anyone?)

As cinema evolved throughout the years, the werewolf archetype changed with it, turning from scary, to campy, back to scary, to of course the "sexy werewolf" era we're living in now (but totally not complaining about)!

Take a walk down memory lane to find out which classic werewolves still have audiences howling!

Fortunately for all you BTTF fans out there who believe the original was perfect and doesn't need to be remade, it doesn't sound like Fox will be coming back anytime soon! At the convention he said:
