In an unprecedented move, 50 Girl Scouts descended upon the White House lawn on Tuesday, shocking America and making camp for the night.
No, this isn't some sort of coup — it's actually just the first time anyone's ever spent the night on the South Lawn!
President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama invited girls from West Virginia, Virginia, Washington, DC and Oklahoma to make history and teach them the ropes about all things scouting.

Michelle kicked off the event with an adorable introduction, saying:
"I really just wanted to formally welcome you to the White House. There it is, it's right there.
You're making history, this is something you can tell you kids and your grand kids, do you understand the impact of this day?"
Naturally, the 10 and 11-year-olds didn't quite understand how significant their sleepover actually was, but at least Michelle seemed to have fun!
