It's that time of year again!!!
The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game has just drafted their teams, and it's looking like it's gonna be a crazy show-down!!

Queen Latifah is no stranger to success - after all they don't call her a queen for nothing. Which is why we weren't TOO surprised to learn that her televised remake of Steel Magnolias set some Lifetime records with 6.5 million people tuning in to see the made-for-television movie.
But that doesn't mean we aren't still VERY impressed by the astronomical success this movie has achieved.

Phew! That was a close one, wasn't it?
Victoria White, a producer of the 1989 classic Steel Magnolias, was apparently so upset about the Queen Latifah-starring remake premiering on Lifetime that she filed suit earlier this week claiming that because she was never notified about the new production, the network was in breach of contract!

Oh dear!
It seems that Lifetime's re-imagining of Herbert Ross' 1989 emotional classic Steel Magnolias is getting some legal backlash from the original's executive producer, Victoria White!
White is claiming that Sony Pictures, Lifetime Entertainment and A&E Television Networks did NOT contact her about her rights to the property, and is suing over breach of contract, good faith and fair dealing.
White wants injunctive relief before the October 7th premiere of the made-for-tv version, which stars the venerated Queen Latifah as M'Lynn.
We hope this nasty legal mess doesn't postpone Steel Magnolias' Lifetime debut! While we adore the original, we can't wait to see this whole new take on a beloved classic!
And obviously, anything starring The Queen is an instant delight!
Who doesn't like the story of Steel Magnolias??
And who doesn't love Queen Latifah??
Exactly! Everybody digs them both, so we're happy that we can bring you guys an official clip from the upcoming remake of Steel Magnolias, starring the Queen herself!
Helmed by the Lifetime Channel, the movie, which tells the story of six Louisiana women who come together to deal with tragedy and difficult times, will also be starring Condola Rashad and Phylicia Rashad.
We've seriously been jonesing for some new Queen Latifah material for awhile now, and we're pumped to see what she can do with the role.
Check it out for yourself (above)!! Looks fab to us!
Oct. 7th can't come fast enough!
