We know something is coming at Sunday's VMAs...
...and now we have a better idea of exactly what that might be!
Well, this reveal shouldn't be too much of a shock.
We have to say we were pleasantly surprised to learn that Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow were all returning for the third installment of the Pitch Perfect franchise, considering their characters graduated from fictional Barden University at the end of the second film.
Now, the newest Bella, Hailee Steinfeld, has confirmed that she will be back for PP3! She opened up about her role in the threequel, saying:
"I'm in. I can't wait! It's all happening."
Hailee's character had just joined the rag-tag a capella girl group during the second flick, and by the end it seemed she was the last one left.
So, it only makes sense that she'll be back again!
Also returning — at the very least behind the camera — is Elizabeth Banks, who is signed on to produce again, as well as Kay Cannon, who will write the script just as she did for the first two.
You have plenty of time to get pumped for this movie, since the theatrical release is set for July 21, 2017!
Who else do you think will return for the third film? SOUND OFF in the comments!
What the what?!
On Monday, it was reported that Rebel Wilson and her boyfriend Mickey Gooch Jr. are supposedly preparing to tie the knot in Las Vegas later this year. Excuse us?!
The pair only began dating three months ago after meeting on the set of How To Be Single.
Reportedly, the duo are looking host their special day at the Graceland Wedding Chapel. Hmm, very inneresting.
A source shared:
The Australian actress took to Twitter to express her frustration with gun control in the United States, saying that in light of the shooting, American lawmakers really need to take notes from her native country, writing:
Rebel Wilson is always up for a challenge!
At the beginning of the month, the Pitch Perfect star shared that she would be taking on the No Sugar Challenge, and decided to chronicle her journey on Twitter.
She announced the impressive undertaking by writing:
This is the most Pitch Perfect news ever!!
We were thrilled when we learned that the aca-awesome musical franchise was moving forward with a third installment — even though we totally weren't surprised because PP2 crushed it in the box office.
In addition to the two HIGHlarious actresses, Kay Cannon, who penned the first two flicks, will be returning as well, which is great, because it means we can expect the same adorable, cheeky, funny moments we've come to know and
quote in our daily lives love.
Anna took to Instagram to tell everyone that the pitch is back, sharing this shot:
For the first two Kung Fu Panda movies, we believed that Jack Black's character Po was the last surviving Panda.
But we were wrong! The third installment of the hit animated franchise follows the clumsy bear protagonist after he has a chance run in with his estranged biological father Li, voiced by Bryan Cranston!
Li brings Po back to a secret panda village where the population has been in hiding, where meets a bunch of brand new characters — including an aspiring ribbon dancer panda Mei Mei voiced by the very funny Rebel Wilson!
Black explains that being reunited with his kind will be a bit of a shock for the character, but there is a lot of fun we can expect from the bear bunch! He said:
Aca-This is the best news ever!
After dominating the box office so far this year, it's no surprise that Pitch Perfect was just greenlit for a third installment!
Universal Pictures announced on Wednesday that Kay Cannon, the writer of the first two movies, would be attached for the sequel, but we don't know anything other than that.
Based on the events of Pitch Perfect 2, we have a feeling that Hailee Steinfeld will probably take over Anna Kendrick's part as the leader of the Bellas, but we hope that the original cast comes back for cameos at the least.
Plus there's that rumor that Anna Camp and Skylar Astin want Taylor Swift to be a part of the film, and we're totally on board for that!
