After spending a month on top, it looks like Joss Whedon’s Avengers will pass the top-earner torch to a trio of more inconspicuously dressed galaxy defenders.

Men in Black 3 is expected to earn around $100 million this weekend, and that would almost assuredly dethrone Robert Downey Jr. and his Super Friends.

Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and newcomer Josh Brolin should all be very proud — there aren’t too many big budget franchises that can take a decade long break between sequels and still find great success.

Rebecca Hall is in talks to star opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 3.

The role became available yesterday after we reported Jessica Chastain officially withdrew her candidacy via Facebook.

Rebecca, known for her Golden Globe nominated Vicky Christina Barcelona performance in 2008, would be an interesting addition to an already stellar cast.

RDJ, Guy Pearce, Don Cheadle, and Gwyneth Paltrow are already committed and we have good reason to suspect

Though, if you have to have a reason to drop out of Iron Man 3, it's nice that the reason is that you're just too busy with work because you're so in demand!

Right??

Jessica Chastain has had to drop from Iron Man 3 for that very reason.

Robert Downey Jr. is one lucky dad!

He's got a super awesome movie coming out, PLUS his baby is one of the most adorable things we've ever seen.

The audience pleaded and begged, but FINALLY, Mr. Iron Man himself gave in and introduced the world to little Exton Elias.

We can tell he's going to be an Avenger one day, just like his poppa!
