This is going to be hard for Azealia Banks to defend.
On Thursday, RZA took to TMZ to speak out against Banks' claims against Russell Crowe following their altercation at a New York City hotel earlier this week. The mogul's vigorous defense of Crowe comes on the heels of Azealia filing battery charges.
Per RZA's account, the artist was completely "zoned out" the entire evening after consuming excessive amounts of alcohol. The 47-year-old went on to describe A.B.'s erratic, scary, and unprovoked behavior which ultimately forced Russell to kick her out of the party.
It's also important to note that the father vehemently denies Crowe physically attacking Azealia or calling her the N-word. The only thing RZA cops to is that Russell did in fact spit on Banks as he escorted her out of the hotel room.
Not only is the businessman "embarrassed" by the entire incident, but he also decided take back a record deal he had previously offered the 25-year-old. While RZA isn't completely done with the artist, he's definitely taking a step back.
You can listen to producer's full account (below):
As we've reported, the 25-year-old is claiming the Oscar-winning actor "called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out, and spat at me" during an intimate Beverly Hills Hotel dinner party.
For the record, every witness has discredited the rapper's telling of events that caused her to be kicked out of the hotel.
Apparently, Miz Banks believes the original TMZ report on the incident was leaked by Crowe himself — which definitely can't be proven on the record.
The controversial artist vented to E! News in her latest interview:
What a mess.
While the A-list celeb and all of the witness — including RZA, who invited Banks — discredit the rapper's account, the 25-year-old insists The Nice Guys actor choked her, spit on her, and called her the N-word while kicking her out of the party.
Talking to The Sun, the controversial artist claims:
As we previously reported, the 212 songstress and The Nice Guys actor supposedly got into it over the weekend at a Beverly Hills hotel which resulted in Miz Banks filing a police report. According to the 25-year-old, the A-lister "choked" her as he removed her from his hotel suite and into the hallway, where Crowe reportedly spit on her.
Now, it's believed that there is
Azealia Banks can't seem to stop making headlines.
In an interview that was conducted before the whole Russell Crowe debacle and released on Monday, the 25-year-old opened up to the Evening Standard about her feud with Zayn Malik, getting banned from Twitter, and being a "crazy girl."
Referring to the "thing with Zayn," the controversial singer seems to feel bad about her racist remarks in hindsight (she called the singer a "sand n*****r" and a "curry-scented bitch" in a Twitter rant):
UPDATE 4:33 P.M. EST: Azealia Banks has taken to Facebook in a since-deleted post to speak out about the alleged incident on Monday, writing:
"The truth will be out on Wednesday.
I am 100% innocent in this matter. No matter how you feel about me no person deserves to be handled that way. And I will not be threatened or chastised into keeping quiet.
This man MUST and WILL be held accountable for his actions.
This is the most expensive mistake he will ever make in his life."
Very interesting. We wonder why she deleted it…
We definitely haven't heard the last of this.
The 25-year-old claims the actor "choked" her and called her a racial slur. On the other hand, eyewitnesses at the intimate party in his hotel room claim she was threatening to cut guests with broken glass.
TMZ is now reporting Azealia demanded an apology from Russell, but his reps say he insists he's innocent. She went to the police on Sunday afternoon and filed a report over the alleged battery.
The 212 songstress since released a statement on the matter via her publicist Raýmani, which she also posted on her social media pages:
Russell Crowe's intimate party definitely took a turn!
On Saturday, the actor hosted around ten people, including rapper Azealia Banks who arrived as RZA's guest, in his Beverly Hills hotel room for dinner and music.
And according to the controversial 25-year-old, the A-lister allegedly assaulted her in a scary confrontation. She described in a since-deleted Facebook post on Sunday:
"To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell crowe's (sic) suite, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me. Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I've had in a long time. The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today."
While the post is now gone, Azealia later added:
