A very risky risk. One that's either going to pay off or cement his sinking career out cold.
At the Sundance Film Festival yesterday, Mel Gibson made a surprising deal via his company Icon Productions with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. The pair agreed to release Mel's "south-of-the-border gritty action film" Get The Gringo domestically via direct-to-consumer methods. In other words, the flick will bypass theaters completely.

He really gets into it by the bridge. He's feeeeeling it!
At his hitRECord event over at Sundance this week, Joseph Gordon-Levitt took to the stage to do a little something special. He grabbed his guitar and belted out a really nice cover of The Beatles' Hey Jude.
Check out the video (above) to hear him jam!

We all know Paris Hilton loves to pAArty!!!
And Jonny Lennon's 4AM Funday party in Tao Park City at the Sundance Film Festival was her most recent midnight adventure.
Sunday night, Paris danced in the DJ booth all night long with Jesse Marco, DJ Jus-Ske, DJ Sinatra, & DJ Theory for Drake, Cuba Gooding Jr, Chris Rock, James Marsden, Spike Lee, and owner Noah Tepperberg.
But as she dances the night away, what's probably really going through her head is ____________________.

Only if they want to make heaps upon heaps of cash and play sold out theaters across the U.S. But what stand-up comedian would want that, right?
While at the Sundance Film Festival this week promoting some upcoming projects, Chris Rock confessed that when looking to the future of his career, he's feeling more in the mood to start touring again rather than make more movies. Our favorite socialite is having a ball in Park City!
Paris made the trek to Utah and party poppin at Sundance this year.
She made sure to take pHOtos for us with all of her celebrity pals and she plays in the snow with some of her favorite DJs.
Her buds include Red Foo and the Party Rock Crew from LMFAO, Lil' Jon, Afrojack and Kaskade.

Wait, what? How did this happen?
Last night, Google Music threw a sick party at TAO as part of an exclusive four-night concert series at Sundance. A party like this was one celebs in Utah were sure not to miss out on, but what was interesting was who the celebs were canoodling with.
Case in point: Kirsten Dunst, Rashida Jones and DJ Samantha Ronson?! How did that happen? Talk about different walks of life — how die these three even cross paths? Were they friends before? Maybe Sam and Kirsten floated in the same circles briefly, but still…
Guess Sundance brings everyone together!
Also, one of them looks stoned … and its not the one you'd usually assume would be!

Quite a gathering over in Utah!
With the Sundance Film Festival well underway, the stars are taking to the streets (and maybe even the slopes) when they aren't indoors enjoying all the wonderful films being premiered at the festival.
Everyone from Emily Blunt to Lil' Jon to Kate Bosworth is in town, most of them doing their best to weather the snow storms popping up each day!
Take a look at the gallery (below) to see who else has shown up for the festival!

"I didn't want to hear no motherf***ing notes from the studio telling me about what a young 13-year-old boy and girl would do in Red Hook. Fuck no. They know nothing about black people. Nothing!"
–Spike Lee to Chris Rock at the Sundance Film Festival on why he didn't ask a big Hollywood studio to fund Red Hook Summer.
