The king and queen of the Muppet kingdom, Kermie and Miss P, took time out from their busy schedules today — shooting Muppets Most Wanted, prepping for a Broadway debut, etc — to wish the possibly future king and queen of England, Prince William and Kate Middleton, congratulations on their new little prince.
It’s nice to know that no matter how successful they become, the Muppets never forget their fans! LOLz!!!
The royal delivery yesterday even seems to have inspired Piggy’s family instincts!!!
As TOTES curious as we are to see the new HRH, we’re even MORE curious to see a pig-frog baby!
More curious than Kermit seems to be, anyway!
Check it outtttttttt (above)!
Ch-ch-check out the AH-mazing, adorable, and uplifting illustration by artist Jack Hunter of one of our favorite Muppet couples, Bert and Ernie, celebrating the recent historic Supreme Court decision on gay marriage! (above)
The cover, aptly named Moment of Joy, is set to come out for next week's edition of The New Yorker. Hunter had originally submitted it unsolicited to a Tumblr, and we're so glad it got selected, as it perfectly embodies the joy, pride, and relief of this moment!
Congrats to couples everywhere celebrating the good news of the past week, including you, Bert and Ernie! We'd love to see Rubber Duckie be the Best Man at your (hopefully soon to be) wedding (aka what should be plot of the next Muppet movie)!

Kermit & Miss Piggy are finally coming to Broadway!!
Disney Theatrical Productions & Tony-nominated director Alex Timbers put together a live Muppets stage show last month and tested out the feasibility on an audience of staffers!
The showcase was only 15 minutes long, but it could be a preamble to a legitimate Broadway incarnation!!
Hooray!!! This is the truly the most wondrous news we've heard all
day week month EVER!!!
Can you imagine next year's Tony's if Neil Patrick Harris AND Fozzie Bear get to tap dance on stage in their
bare bear feet!
Wocka Wocka, we can't wait!!

Our hearts are still aching over the loss of Roger Ebert!
But the man led a remarkable life and we want to celebrate his brilliance and cultural contributions!!
From a chit-chat with Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street (above) to an inspirational lecture about finding his voice after losing his ability to speak (below), the legendary critic really has done it all!
Ch-ch-check out HIGHlariously awkward Siskel & Ebert outtakes, a riveting TED Talks, and even a big fat thumbs down to Tom Cruise …AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Jim Henson’s wife and fellow puppeteer Jane Jenson has passed away.
The Muppets’ collaborator died at age 78 in her Connecticut home yesterday due to her battle with cancer.
She and her husband met in the mid-1950s at the University of Maryland and were partners throughout the development of The Muppets. The couple split in 1986. Jim passed in 1990. Both are survived by their five children: Lisa, Cheryl, Brian, John and Heather.
So so sad! Our thoughts are with her family.

Reason #241 why America rocks: All defendants in a court of law are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash has not yet been found guilty of any inappropriate sexual conduct with minors, so we must assume he's innocent of these nasty charges until we see evidence to the contrary!
Still, this weekend's development hurts our heart!
Three men claim Kevin sexually abused them while they were minors and they filed lawsuits saying as much.
Kevin's lawyer Michael Berger just filed a motion to combat this lawsuit, not by maintaining his client's innocence, but by saying the men aren't entitled to any money because the statute of limitations expired on their grievances.
In the motion filed to dismiss the lawsuits, Michael claims
Oh man we feel like we're watching an episode of Extras! Supremely awkward with a delicious dollop of sarcasm.
We are SO incredibly souped for the inevitably heart-warming and funny follow up film to Jason Segel's The Muppets, and in the flick's FIRST teaser, Pepe the King Prawn tries to acquaint himself with the sequel's main baddy, Ricky Gervais…
…and obviously, HIGHlarity ensues!
Ch-ch-check out this cringe-worthy first look at The Muppets… Again! (above)!
We are VERY intrigued as to how Ricky's signature style of comedy will mesh with those wild and wacky Muppets…
We're thinking they'll go together like Nutella and everything ever!
