So, so sad.

Janet Carroll reportedly passed away Wednesday in NYC after suffering a long illness, and is survived by son George and daughter-in-law Lauren.

You may best remember Janet Carroll as Tom Cruise's trusting mother in the iconic 1983 film Risky Business, but the seasoned actress appeared in Memories of Me, Enough, Forces of Nature, Married with Children and Melrose Place among MANY others.

Janet was also a veteran stage actress, and began her fruitful career at the Kansas City Starlight Theatre.

A memorial service will be held Saturday in New York at the Advent Lutheran Church.

We only hope she has found her peace.

Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.

Tom Cruise sits down with Playboy magazine, for an interview that's got errrrrbody talkin!!!

Suri's dad gushes about his success, love life with Katie Holmes, and admits that when it comes to kids, he's was born for the role of being a dad!!!

Cruise says:

"I've always had the same values. Family for me has always been important. When I shoot, everybody comes. When Kate's shooting, I'm there with her and the kids.

We're always together. I'm always around my mother and sisters.

I always wanted to be a father, a husband."

All together now, AWWWWWWWW!!!!

Now that we hear that, we're sure Tommy boy is a bit sad Katie ISN'T preggers again!

Pretty impressive!

Though second (second is the best…?), Oprah STILL ranks as number one in TV/Radio AND in earnings, making $165 million in just this past year!!!

We are now exactly one month away from the Rock Of Ages film premiere and the flick’s star, Tom Cruise, is revealing more than just his bare abs!

The actor, who turns 50 (yes, FIFTY) in July, recently got quizzed by Playboy magazine for their June issue — and no topic was off limits!

While living life in the public eye and being subject to criticism, Cruise says he doesn’t think refuting rumors helps anything. Don't get him wrong, though — when he sues, he means it…ESPECIALLY if it involves his kids!
