The drama over the Whitney Houston biopic continues!
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston, stated her objections over the Lifetime film and made an emotional plea to her daughter's fans.
WHOA! Not anybody can successfully imitate Whitney Houston's voice…
But it seems that Deborah Cox isn't just anybody because she can do a DAMN good cover of The Bodyguard's famed song!
Thank gosh, too because she's set to sing for YaYa DaCosta in the upcoming Lifetime biopic about the famed singer's life!
In this totally vintage YouTube video, Deborah sings Whitney's version of I Will Always Love You and she's absolutely blown us away!
No one will ever do Whitney perfectly, but Deborah surely comes close!
She's absolutely brilliant! They couldn't have chosen a better singer for the job!
Ch-ch-check out her vintage rendition of the song…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Wow, we're SO happy to hear the director of the Whitney Houston biopic, Angela Bassett, decided to enlist the AH-mazing Deborah Cox to provide vocals for the actress Yaya DaCosta!! With Deborah's impressive background in Broadway, we know she's more than capable to bring Whitney's greatest hits to life!
When Whitney tragically passed a few years ago, we and all of her many fans were devastated. While we can't bring our beloved songstress back, at least we can honor her AH-mazing voice on the small screen!
While Dacosta has the looks down pat, Cox will bring credibility to the film with her powerful set of lungs.
To refresh y'all on Deborah's background, she starred in the a few Broadway hits like Aida and is responsible for the mega popular track, Nobody's Supposed to Be Here!! Like the late Whitney herself, girl can sing!
We can't wait to see the biopic and we think Deborah will do an AH-mazing job!!

Not the most practical throwback to share on Instagram!
Bobbi Kristina took to the photo sharing site on Tuesday to upload an old image of herself ripping from a massive bong…coupled with a long rant explaining the current mood she's in!
And it sounds like the reality TV star has fallen on hard times!
The insta-snap reflectively reads:
Whitney Houston's Lifetime biopic is really coming together!! And so quickly, we might add!
Following the casting announcement AND first look at America's Next Top Model's Yaya DaCosta as singing legend Whitney, it's only appropriate to finally reveal who will be playing Bobby Brown!
It's what everyone has been waiting for after news of the biopic was broadcasted for all to hear!
The network revealed in a new photo of Yaya posing next to her co-star and on-screen hubby, Arlen Escarpata!
The 33-year-old actor looks a little too innocent to portray the New Edition musician, but we have a feeling his acting chops will make up for it!
Arlen has appeared in a number of TV shows, so there's no doubt he has the experience for the role!

Here you go, Whitney Houston fans!
Yaya DaCosta is stepping into some big shoes to tackle the role of the legendary Miz Houston for the Lifetime biopic.
And finally, FINALLY we are seeing a first look at Yaya as Whitney!
Yaya went full-on Whitney to channel the singer's 1987 Whitney album. In this first look, the former America's Next Top Model contestant does seem to have the look and her bubbly personality down pretty damn well.
The biopic, currently titled Whitney Houston, has just started filming with Angela Bassett in the director's chair.
Even though Whitney's family isn't fully backing this project, we're sure Yaya and Angela will do their best to do Whitney right.
But what do you think about Yaya as Whitney?

Oooo, it's so hard to watch and yet we can never look away!
Those awkward TV moments when a celeb decides they'd rather walk out of an interview rather than face another question!
It happened to the incomparable Joan Rivers this week (see below) when she stormed off camera after CNN's Fredricka Whitfield asked one too many times about the comedienne's controversies over the years!
But Joan's not the only celeb to put an abrupt end to a sit down! Look at all of these other stars who have gotten up and gotten out in the middle of a LIVE interview!
