When you're on the go or just finishing a workout, it's hard to get a "real meal" with proper nutrition.
Celebrtiy trainer Adam Ernster will tell you fats and carbs are easy to find, but the right amount of protein is not. That's precisely why he recommends downing a protein shake as a healthy meal replacement instead of stopping for fast food.
Check out the video above to find out why protein shakes are always a good idea!
You don't have to! We swear!
We're not alone either. Celebrity trainer Adam Ernster thinks fears of gaining weight over the holidays are completely unfounded and slightly irrational.
If you're one of those people who associates the holiday season with an extra 10 pounds around your torso, the first step toward reversing that trend is to STOP assuming you're going to gain weight! Ha!
Remember, the only person who controls how much your body weighs is YOU! Don't use your Christmas vacation as an excuse to derail from a healthy diet and avoid the gym.
Despite the popular idiom, it is possible have your cake and eat it too. Enjoy the family gatherings, parties, and other holiday functions that come equipped with dietary temptations, but continue working toward your fitness goals!
Check out the video above for some common sense advice to avoid this fabled holiday weight that people are always making small talk about!
October is quickly ending, which means Halloween is quickly approaching!

Considering our country is plagued with obesity, we all probably know a family member, friend, or loved one who is overweight. We've also probably had the urge to help them lose the extra pounds, but HOW do we do it?
FitPerez correspondent and celebrity personal trainer Adam Ernster is here to give advice on how to properly approach the issue.
First of all, remember that before you decide to "help" someone lose weight, they have to WANT to lose weight!
Second of all, if you know they are overweight, it's safe to assume they do too. Don't remind them of the problem before they are ready to face it.
As good as your intentions may be, if they aren't executed properly they may backfire. Too much pressure to change can make them run away from the problem and back to emotional eating.
Check out the video above to learn what to do and NOT to do when trying to help a friend lose weight!
Adam Ernster is such a useful expert here at FitPerez!
Today, his video shows us how to run and jump properly. If you've been on the treadmill and have major fatigue or shin splints, it could be because you aren't absorbing impact in the right way!
We've been guilty of this, for sure, so it's nice to finally know why things didn't feel right. Though, changing it up feel a little weird.
