Was Akon refusing to touch Congo concertgoers?
The singer has just been accused over the past couple days of trying to protect himself from ebola by performing in a giant plastic bubble in the Democratic Republic of Congo on September 21st.
Was he really that afraid of the vicious virus?

Um, probably not.
Sure, Akon jumped around in a plastic bubble, but those giant hamster balls have been around for years! You may have seen them at the concerts of The Flaming Lips, Diplo, and Peter Gabriel.
The GIF of Akon crowd surfing in one (above) is actually from before the ebola scare - WAY back in 2010!
What's more, Akon wasn't even in the bubble the whole time! He was touching audience members like any other concert! Check out the video proof (below)!
Sounds like it’s going to get worse before it gets better for Justin Bieber!
We’ve already seen two videos of him telling racist, offensive and unfunny jokes as a teenager.
But Biebs must have really liked saying the N-word back in the day because sources say there’s A LOT more footage still to be shown!
How much more you ask?
When you're surrounded by music, it's hard not to be pulled in.
And there are few people more surrounded by music than Laurieann Gibson!
The famed choreographer who's worked with Diddy, Katy Perry, and Nicki Minaj as well as being Lady GaGa's former creative director has finally decided to take a stab at creating her own music.
She's rebranded herself as Harlee and released her first single, Dream Warriors, featuring Akon! And we've got the music video for you to feast your eyes on.
There's definitely dancing as you can imagine…And some nitty grittiness going on.
Want to see if Laurieann can bring it as much as her famous clients???
Ch-ch-check out her music video (above)!
Most of the performers at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards worked really hard.
David Guetta, Ne-Yo, and Akon decided to Play Hard!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to see the Titanium trio hit the stage hard!
They may have graced the list of the Most Hated Celebs, but Jennifer Lopez and Chris Brown are also two of the most popular performers in the world!
And both will be bringing their hotness to the stage at the Billboard Music Awards!
And as if the show weren't jam packed with talent enough, a slew of artists has just been added!
Nicki Minaj, Lil' Wayne, Ed Sheeran, Ne-Yo, David Guetta, and Akon will all be performing as well!
Ch-ch-check out the pics (below) to see the full lineup!
Man, is there anyone left to actually receive any awards?? LOLz!

Oh… Uhh… That just happened!
David Guetta's latest vid just went live and it's not exactly what we expected!
He teams up with Ne-Yo & Akon, samples an iconic beat from Alice DeeJay, and, well, they certainly all Play Hard!!
The track's message is simple: First you work hard, then you play hard, and after that you start all over again — it's the circle of life!!
The vid, on the other hand, alternates between inexplicable weirdness and poking fun at racial stereotypes — onnes some people might find offensive!
Don't take our word for it, though!!
Pr-pr-press PLAY on the pink (above) and experience Play Hard for yourself!
Do U think David G. is still the king or is this song is a dud?
Another day, another lawsuit for Akon… or so it seems!
The Right Now singer was recently sued just a week ago and now he’s facing yet another legal woe — this time for causing permanent disability!
It sounds like Akon decided to stage dive at Alabama’s BayFest music festival in 2009 and in doing so, he fell on top of Matthew Graham, a concert worker!
Matthew is now suing Akon for diving on top of him and leaving him disabled with permanent injuries to his knee, head and back!
Holy shiz! That’s horrible!!!
The lawsuit states that Matthew is suing for physical pain, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses!
In the meantime, we hope Akon rethinks the whole stage diving thing for any future shows… !
Probably not the best — or safest — idea!
Take a look at the incident that caused this whole mess… AFTER THE JUMP!!!
