An announcement could come as soon as Thursday, so be ready for more updates as more is revealed.
It looks like Sony will not be putting out The Interview at all.
In a statement, the studio said:

We hope Billy Unger has learned his lesson.
Billy, who was 18 at the time of the offense, pled no contest to "wet reckless" — a common plea bargain for Californians charged with a DUI.
By agreeing to the plea, prosecutors dropped Unger's DUI and speeding charges, which means no jail time for the actor.
The Lab Rats star was penalized with a fine, 2 years probation, and he has to complete alcohol education programs.
Stay safe, Billy! Drinking and driving is NEVER okay!
After exiting the hit show Scandal, Columbus Short has finally opened up about the reason for his departure.
In a recent and frank interview, Columbus cited cocaine abuse and excessive drinking as the reasons for his exit.
Here's what he had to say about his departure from the show:
Ya know, we wanna say we're surprised by this, but we're kind of not really AT ALL!
Well, it looks like Babs has succeeded in getting T.Swizzle to open up about her personal life like never before, and we love it!
Barbara asked Taylor about her good girl personality and said she doesn't smoke nor drink, and the Shake It Off singer stopped her right there and admitted she does drink and told her exactly when she started!
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green may be a part of the Hollywood elite, but that doesn't mean they're invincible!
The two learned some of those hard truths after they were hit by another car whose driver is believed to have been drinking!
However the Los Angeles Police Department on Friday confirmed the two were totally fine after a drunk driver crossed lanes and hit them with a Range Rover on Thursday, however Brian Austin Green recently confirmed that it all could have ended a lot differently!
Here's what he said
This is SO freakin' scary! We're glad they're okay!
On Thursday night, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green were out on the town in El Lay when they were sideswiped around Mulholland Drive by a drunk driver!!
Talk about terrifying!!
Reportedly, the couple was driving in their Range Rover around 9:30ish when a Mini Cooper on the other side of the road drove over the line and sideswiped their car and ended up blowing a tire.
This caused the Mini to spin around and stop, so the former 90210 star called the cops who came and arrested him.
Apparently, after arrested, it turns out that the 35-year-old guy was over TWICE the legal limit.
We're SO glad they were BOTH okay and weren't injured in the accident!
Not to mention, we're happy that the drunk driver got what he deserved — to be arrested!

We LOVE this!
Nick Offerman is mostly known for his iconic role as Ron Swanson on Parks & Recreation, but the rugged actor is actually a man of many talents!
In this music video Nick sings and strums about his two loves in life…
…Whiskey and the guitar!!!
Is there anything this guy can't do??? Now we really want a glass of whiskey, ha!!!
Check out the hilarious video (below)!!!
Well, this is good news for him?!?
Last year, former Wizards Of Waverly Place actor Jake T. Austin got into a spot of trouble when he was driving and hit three parked cars in Sherman Oaks, CA at 3 a.m. then left the scene (and the car???) in an Uber.
Well, the actor was charged for the crime back in July — but it looks like he's walking away scot-free!
The judge found him NOT GUILTY, and he didn't even need to show up for court!
Jake supposedly got off because even though he left the scene before cops got there, he still reported the accident in the proper amount of time.
Talk about a legal loophole!
Not to mention that even if he WAS drinking and driving, he was safe from DUI charges because the cops never saw nor talked to him that night, so they couldn't prove that he was, in fact, drunk.
Luck was on his side, we guess.
