And to some people’s surprise, Brinkley was amazing!
The 57-year-old received a standing ovation on her opening night.
Her daughter Alexa Ray Joel also made a surprise appearance on stage during curtain call to present her mom with some flowers.

As we mentioned earlier this week, Yves Saint Laurent is launching their new Belle D'Opium perfume. And last night they held the launch party for the fragrance in New York City.
And what would a fashion party in NYC be without the Olsen twins making an appearance.
Well, at least one half of the Olsen twins showed up with Ashley Olsen attending the event last night looking, surprisingly, worse than usual.
Sorry Ash, but that over-sized black trench coat and scarf on your head just aren't working for you.
As for Alexa Ray Joel, we're loving the look. Casual yet red carpet appropriate.

And as part of the deal, Alexa was set to appear in new TV ads for the company in which she'd also be able to advertise her music and maybe sing a note or two.
Well, the ad has just been released, and we're loving it!
The 24-year-old looks gorgeous as ever in the commercial. The hair, the makeup, the clothes. It all works.
And aside from looking better than she ever has, the ad also features a teaser of her song, Hideaway.
The photo of Brinkley on the piano at the beginning of the ad is a bit cheesy, but overall, we can't get over how great Alexa looks.

Alexa Ray Joel will be following in her mother Christie Brinkley's footsteps as she's been named the new face of Prell shampoo.
And Alexa Ray will be using the ads to her full advantage. After
unfortunately inheriting her father Billy Joel's looks and musical talents, she'll also be providing the music for the TV ads.
Many believe that while she liked the idea of succeeding her mom, the sole reason she inked the deal was so she could promote her music.
A rep for the celebuspawn says "This is Alexa's first ad campaign. It is for print and TV for spring and summer. We will also shoot a fall campaign."
