Despite her fragile state, Amy Winehouse will supposedly play Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday Concert on Friday and Glastonbury….with an ambulance crew on standby at the gigs, the British media is reporting. We really hope that's not true! Health first, girl. Your health first. Amy is reportedly determined not to let Nelson Mandela or her supporters down. Wino's not going to let emphysema put a damper on things! Wino's Concert organizers are looking to outfit her backstage area like a private hospital suite with a massage bed and paramedics. But, that's not all Amy needs! A friend reveals, "After everything Amy has been through, her main fear is that she has lost her lucky pendant containing a lock of hubby Blake's hair. The Wino is still in the hospital and she has just been diagnosed with emphysema. Pretty serious stuff! Amy's dad, Mitch Winehouse, spoke to journalists about the severity of her diagnosis. He says, "The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs it won't just ruin her voice, it will kill her. The doctors have said that if she had continued the way she was going she could have ended up an invalid — she wouldn't have been able to breathe. She's got emphysema. It's in its early stages, but had it gone on for another month they painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there like an old person with a mask on her face struggling to breathe. With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes, her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She's got 70 percent lung capacity. She doesn't have tuberculoses, as the British media is reporting, but…. The still-hospitalized Amy Winehouse is suffering from a chest infection. The Sun's report of Amy coughing up blood was refuted by a Wino mouthpiece. As we previously mentioned, doctors reportedly discovered that the songstress has an irregular heartbeat, which - in addition to her severe drug abuse - could also be attributed to her years long battle with eating disorders. A 'close friend' told the Brit rag, "Amy is in a bad way. Doctors are still struggling to control her heartbeat but the chest condition has been really worrying them." Another source is quoted saying, "Things sound really bad, but at least now they have found something specific it will be easier to keep her in hospital and free from drugs. Amy is still undergoing tests and doctors will soon decide whether she is able to keep her upcoming performing commitments later this month (Glastonbury, Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday celebration). Her rep says, "She would really love to do the show – she always wants to do these things. But she will listen to her doctors." Drugs will fuck you up BIG TIME, kids. The Sun reports that Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat after she collapsed at home on Monday. Amy was hospitalized last year after overdosing on crack. The irregular heartbeat may be to blame for her recent fainting spell. And, of course, her cracked out way are likely the reason for the irregular heartbeat. A doctor tells the paper, "Crack narrows blood vessels and raises pressure. It is toxic to the heart muscle, causing an irregular beat. A heart attack is one of the most common ways for the drug to kill." Crazy. We hope Wino realizes how lucky she is to be alive, despite her abusing ways. The report also mentions that Ames' family are thinking of getting some court order of sorts to keep the songstress in the hospital. Doctors are supposedly trying to wean her off heroin. Amy Winehouse is still in the hospital after fainting in her London home yesterday. Today, tests showed the results were inconclusive. Inconclusive???? Please, it doesn't take a doctor to analyze her blood: crack, heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and cat urine. Winehouse was supposed to be released today, though doctors want to keep her in for some extra tests. A rep for Amy says, "She's staying there for the time being. They are still not quite sure what happened and the tests were inconclusive. Doctors want to get to the bottom of it before releasing her. There will be further tests and they will keep her under observation. She seems to be fine … but they are taking their time to be sure." Amy's dad, Mitch, has been talking to the press a bit, even admitting that his daughter's visit to rehab back in January for two weeks was a failure. He adds, "She didn't want to get clean then, but she's talking about it now. She's nowhere near as bad as she was. A nurse visits twice a day and we're kept well informed about how she's doing. She's making progress." Translation: She's still using drugs. What can we do???? And as for Amy and Blake, their relationship, and any future kids, Poppa Wino adds, "Amy understands Blake might have to do a long time in prison – she's not stupid. But she'll stand by him and he'll stand by her. She wants kids and knows she can't be taking drugs, or the baby would be addicted – she wouldn't do that." Please. Hope this is the wake up call she needs! Amy Winehouse was hospitalized on Monday after fainting at home. Is "fainting" the new code word for overdose/passing out???? The Wino mouthpiece says, "Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted. Fortunately, her manager's assistant was there to stop her falling. She quickly recovered and her father Mitch took her to hospital as a precaution. Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident and Amy is currently undergoing tests." Um, maybe her body is tired of all the drugs and shit she's been consuming???? Wino "may be kept in [the hospital] overnight for observation," the rep added. Russian gazillionaire Roman Abromovich (owner of London soccer club Chelsea) ponied up $2 million for an Amy Winhouse performance at his 25-year old girlfriend's Moscow art gallery opening this past Thursday. Wino's peeps managed to get her on a plane to the Russian city. But according to reports, a source says, when she arrived in Moscow "she was in no condition to appear." Party organizers supposedly talked about finding a Wino replacement but felt there wasn't enough time. Ames was supposed to take the stage at 10:30 pm but didn't make it on til 12:30. The singer's handlers worked two exhausting hours to get her on stage, says an insider. Between Grrrossss!!!!!!!!! Who needs to see cracked out snatch?
